Aradari
How would yo build a power that grants say armor piercing to the rest of your team's attacks?

Christopher
Re: Enchant A Naked Advantage with Usable By Others That's it basically. The problem is, that useable by others makes the power more expensive (AP wise) and Armor Piercing does the same. I know behind such Ideas is often a strong concept of how the power works, but perhaps a Drain or Supress, maybe Area of Effect, would be better to archieve the same effect at better price? Another way, depending on setting and your allies STR/Martial Arts, might be to have/summon a weapon that is armor piercing (the magical, eversharp sword) and give it to an ally. Basically just a Focus/Material Manifestation with -0 Limitation "Useable by other". A little bit more information about target setting and who will be affected would help. Enforcer84
Re: Enchant Makes what power more expensive? The Naked advantage would be bought for a certain number of active points. Armor Piercing on 30pts of KA, UBO plus what ever spell effects we're looking at. Active point cost for caster would be like 30 pts, maybe 45. Hyper-Man
Re: Enchant Here's a link to an example of a similar ability that could be adapted to the stated effect. Here's a link to a 5er explanation of Differing Modifiers as well.
Christopher
Re: Enchant Makes what power more expensive? The Naked advantage would be bought for a certain number of active points. Afaik you do it this way (asuming 30 Ap Attack has do be made Armor Piercing): First you make the Power to be given: You buy a naked advantage Amor Piercing (+1/4) for up to 30 AP of HTH or Killing Attack (or generally every attack). So it's a 37 AP, 7 Real Cost "Power". You then take those 7 Real cost as the Base Cost for your UOO (+1/4 for one Recipient), so the power would be considered a 9 Ap/9 Real Cost Power for you. So it's already more expensive then just having a Naked AP for your own attacks. See 6E1 359 for the rules.
bigbywolfe
Re: Enchant Of course it's more expensive than having a Naked Advantage for your own power. You're paying to be able to grant the abilities to others. What's your point?

You're paying to be able to grant the abilities to others. What's your point? That it is more expensive. Just what I said in Post Nr. 3. And Enforcer84 disagred with that in Post Nr. 4. But right now I'm not so certain we even talked about the same thing. @Aradai: It would really help to know if this is just to empower swords or should be applicable for any Attack under a certain Active Points (note that all Weapons have about +50% higher active Points than their mere Damage would indicate, propably due to Inherent Advantages).
