Also, it provides light that comes on only when needed, i.e. when someone is walking on that pavement.

I was thinking this could be installed on highways and expressways, to use fast-moving traffic to power cities. Even if it only powered streetlights and traffic control signals, that would be a tremendous load off of the power grid.

 

Well Done, Mr. Kemball-Cook. If this lives up to its promise, I expect he'll be called Sir Laurence quite soon.
