Jason S.Walters
[been a while, huh guys?] SANDS OF TIME The Sands of Time is a multi-session scenario for a team of four to eight Champions superheroes of almost any power level. It includes details of no less than three new superteams, plus other organizations, groups, places, and NPCs. 978-1-61318-724-1 Sands of Time PDF: $9.95 Sands of Time Book: $19.95 Sands of Time Print+PDF: $19.95 IMAGINARY FRIENDS Imaginary Friends is an adventure for the Hero System/ Champions 6th Edition and Savage Worlds in which invisible playmates come to life with deadly consequences. As much a long-term campaign supplement as an adventure, it features a set of strategies and events using the characters and depicting forces at work, rather than a completely linear narrative. Lord Liaden
Good to see more movement on the new Hero product front. Out of curiosity, are either of these written for the official Champions Universe?

Out of curiosity, are either of these written for the official Champions Universe? I know Imaginary friends is not, though it is in the same universe as King of the Mountain (and I would assume Balabanto's other work) and looks very easy to plug in to the CU. steriaca
I feal sad, wondering if we will ever get another official Champions Universe adventure/supliment.
rjcurrie
Is there a reason that descriptions (viewed here, in the Hero Store, and on the Blackwyrm web sit) do not include author information?
Phil Masters
For personal reasons that should become clear, I'd have to consider that last a good question... But to answer Lord Liaden's question - The Sands of Time is set in the Champions Universe. Very much so, in an odd way; there's stuff in there that was originally borrowed from the 1992 Champions Universe book (by Monte Cook). Though it's been brought up to date for publication. Balabanto
Good to see more movement on the new Hero product front. Out of curiosity, are either of these written for the official Champions Universe? This is correct, Bigby. It is it's own universe. It's just not Champions without Foxbat or Mechanon for me. It can't be. It's like playing a game without the things that make it what it is.
Balabanto
When the CU turns 40, Steraica, if people vote for it, I will write a 40th anniversary adventure for it. Remember, unless I'm on a mission, you guys vote for what I do from a list.

That answers my supplemental question, which was "Who wrote The Sands of Time?" But it does seem strange not to list the author in the description of these products. I know personally that I have made purchase decisions on RPG products solely based on the author.

Yes, this one was mine. (And for those who don't know, I do have some previous Champs material to my name.) And you're right, for some reason Blackwyrm don't seem to attach author names to any games books, which does strike me as a little odd. You'd have to ask them why not. Search me. Funnily enough, my name does appear on the book's Amazon.com page, though: http://www.amazon.com/The-Sands-Time-Phil-Masters/dp/1613187246

Thanks for the info, Mr. Masters. I remember your work for Champions very fondly -- Kingdom of Champions in particular has a place of honor in my collection. And now you've intrigued me more over The Sands of Time. I'm familiar with and fond of all incarnations of the CU, and would love to see what's in there. If you're intrigued by the idea of the book, well, there is one way to find out more... I think that it does have some interesting characters in it.
