Steve Long Posted November 19, 2003 Report Share Posted November 19, 2003 Well, it's a little harder to hint at what's in STAST without giving away the surprises. But, to describe it sort of briefly and vaguely, it features the creation and first insidious plot of an important new master villain for the Champions Universe -- one who'll be an old favorite for some gamers, and hopefully a new favorite for others. He unleashes his plot, and the PCs have to deal with the results... and then track him back to his incredibly cool lair, which is nothing like any other master villain's lair I've ever seen. As with our other adventures, this one has a "hook" that makes it a resource that the GM can keep using. In CB, and to a lesser extent SOB, the hook was maps. In this case, it's the new master villain and his organization. Allen's done a great job on this one. I should finish the development soon; it'll probably go to playtest and layout early next week. It's one of those moments of recognition when you read a name, go "Aha! I know what's coming," and chortle in fiendishly gleeful anticipation. Hmm -- having read/heard about the book but not actually /owning/ a copy yet (gee, Dreamscape, think maybe that now after six weeks you can actually get me my blasted copy?)
