Logan D. Hurricanes
My stepmother said she was going to use her PhD to get restaurant reservations. "I need a table for two under Dr. Abbitt..." Pariah
Cancer
In an "I Deserved That" moment, I find that one student who submitted their essay in fulfillment of the Position Paper 1 assignment uploaded a PDF named "POS Paper Solar System.pdf". The paper does not qualify as a POS by my criteria.

Cancer
Wonder if I can get away with assuming my students will work out that cos(arctan(x)) = 1/sqrt(1 + x^2) assuming the first quadrant. Probably not.

Bazza
For the teacher, that is a declaration of war.
Old Man
No, that is a series of treaties establishing protocols for humanitarian treatment during hostilities between two states. A declaration of war is more of a unilateral statement of intent, typically accompanied by a list of grievances or justifications. Hope this helps. Bazza
Same thing by Dolan & Murphy said during Lincoln County in 1878-81.
Cancer
Look, if the teacher is really annoyed by it, she calls the kid's bluff, has them research the text they say they are citing, and have them give a presentation in class about it, with references and so on. That is permitted under the conventions, and the concept of teaching a student caution is a lesson well worth imparting. Logan D. Bazza
The student should also research the UDHR.
Cancer
Depending on the grade level, yes. But at the level of the student mentioned above, I'd go for "one thing at a time" approach.

Old Man
Unfortunately I think that kind of temperature gun would cost more than ten bucks.
