  2. thanx--i dig the jacket, too! generally, she only wears it during the winter months, though.... ....as a rule, she doesn't wear much, and when she does a 'maxim/fhm/stuff' cover, she wears even less....
  3. WOW!! --how many disad points did he get for THAT?!?!?!?!?
  4. Re: Munchkin at work ... no, but only because his mentor, BOOGER-MAN was already there!! (CUE JAZZY 60'S MUSIC!!) BOOGER-MAN! BOOGER-MAN!!--DOES WHATEVER A BOOGER CAN....! SPINS SOME SNOT, ANYTIME--CATCHES THIEVES, IN HIS SLIME....! LOOK OUT!!!--HERE COME'S THE BOOGER-MAN!!!
  5. Re: Character concepts that are..bad ideas wait a sec--i AM running that character!! JAMIE JUSTICE--super-rich; super-strong; NOT super-smart.... EDIT:also known as, "the NUKE-U-LER BOMBSHELL...."
  6. i don't kow what they are called but i was thinking that one of those trike-cars with a big scorpion tail arching over the back might be cool....
  7. yours is also lacking in the T and/or A department, particularly if she's covered head-to-toe, except for her eyes--which in my eyes IS WRONG--JUST WRONG!!!! ..but then again, i run JAMIE JUSTICE....
  8. Re: Black Scorpion AND WHAT THE HELL WAS WRONG WITH THE SKIMPY COSTUME!?!?!?!?!?!?!? CHEEUS HAYCH CRIPES--it took FOREVER to get BLACK CANARY back in fishnets, and now you want to start messin' with BLACK PUSH-UP-BRA....ER, SCORPION:rolleyes: some people....
  9. yes--talk to your GM about his issues with your characters--some of my worst gaming experiences came because the GM wouldn't just come right out and tell me he had a problem with my goofy character.... also keep in mind that sometimes, a perfectly 'legal' combination of clever powers selection and an aggressive player can create a character that TOTALLY unbalances the game--and nothing sucks more than being the character standing next to 'OVERMAN' when the GM brings the 'GODHAMMER' crashing down in order to keep the guy from single handedly taking out his carefully crafted scenario.... ps--how well does your GM know the system--he may be threatened by his players exhibiting a superior level of system knowledge, in that he fears he may not be able to "control" them....
  10. you might even want to consider a third layer of defense--a special response team using prototype POWERED ARMOR--stuff that works fine, but is still too expensive to mass produce--this way you get to bring in some supers who could later turn up as enemies for the PC's.... their cheif mission could be to 1) eliminate any threats to the base as a whole, using any means necessary; or to 2) at least serve as a distraction/delaying force while all sensitive material is moved out the 'bolthole' to a new location.... EDIT: dammit--von d beat me to it!!
  11. for me the idea of being an icon goes hand-in-hand with being a "super-hero...." a super without a flashy costume and a "hero id" is simply a "paranormal" IMHO....
  12. my group is 4th edition, and one thing i've noticed is that 5th edition cu characters are heavier on attack, lighter on defences and combat value compared to us, so without having the character sheets in front of me, i'd have to bet on my team, S.U.P.A over UNITY since: 1) we have the numbers, 7of us VS 5 of them; 2) we're probably going to be able to avoid their attacks, since even our brick can generate a DCV of 12 without dodging; 3) i believe we're higher defense characters, overall, averaging out around 25pts of resistant defense.....
  13. yeah, well i ripped them both off--shameless bastard that i am....
  14. Re: Need Duck Schtick! ....uummm--shouldn't that be DUCKTOR Destroyer---and let's not forget DUCKOFANES--THE UNDYING MALLARD....
  15. how about the time i ripped off THUNDERBUNNY?--THAT obscure enough for ya???

    HERO 1st times

my only memories of RUINED-QUEST involve my character being trapped at the edge of a raging river by a pack of hungry wolves, slowly going blind from rabies (because we were too low level to fight off a swarm of rabid BATS) knowing that any attempt to cross said raging torrent would almost certainly be fatal, as i was the only character who had made a sucessful swimming feat roll, givnig me a skill level of 6%.... the fact that in CHAMPIONS you begin by playing COMPETENT characters is one of the reasons i still play today.... but i digress--back in '82 i was a member of the metro detroit gaming center--a club of like minded role-players, and board gamers who were drawn together in the bonds of our fillial attachment to the rolling of multiplanar dice--the club having 50+ members provided one with the opportunity to play in just about anything being played in the gaming community at the time.... at the time i joined the were not one, but two CHAMPS GM's running at the center--DON, who ran a pretty silver age campaign, and JERRY--who didn't....! While in DON's game your characters might come up against DR. DOOM, or MAGNETO, in JERRY's game you cheif nemesis was....JERRY--oh, it may look like DR DESTROYER, or THE SLUG, but don't be fooled--you were going up against JERRY, and he played to win--there was no greater sin in JERRY'S eyes than a character that did not make efficient use of his god-given points.... anyway, because of their differing styles DON and JERRY were always at odds with each other. one day they were engaged in a vigorous debate in the center's common gaming room--DON was trying to show JERRY the error in his point-pimping approach to CHAMPS--showing JERRY some tricked out monstrosity that could shrink down to the size of an ant and retain the full strength of the HULK--JERRY was ignoring him, or counter-gesticulating, both of them going on, and on, and on--and it struck me that i had to know what game this was that had these two so worked up! within a week, i had sat in on both their games and within two, i had my first champions character....
  18. my first character was a CREEPER rip-off; a DEX/BRICK who dressed like a beefed up, early 80's adam ant ("stand and deliver" era--hey! it WAS the early 80's, folks!!), and called himself "THE MANIAC...." i quite enjoyed myself being both antic and goofy--much to the shegrin of my GM and my fellow players, but ultimately, the character was TOO well balanced to have much effect on the combat-optimized, 450pt monstrosities we fought against, so i traded him in for someone more combat effective--a SPD 13 MA w/ AP martials arts, named CAT....
  19. thanx--but poser's not that hard--it's the upgrades and add-ons that'll do you in.... cyberpath and shard are interesting character concepts but then i'm one of those who can never get enough of good looking female champs characters....
  20. e-yuhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!! yucky, yucky, icky-pooo!
  21. cougar's player is an actual working comics pro, and wants to hold on the character's design for a possible future project, so he asked if i wouldn't mind taking it down.... sorry--i'm glad you liked the pic, though!
  22. it's a special effect of her desolidification powers....
  23. MONGO just pawn....in game of CHAMPIONS....
  24. and last, but not least, the winsome WILLOW!!
