  9. Problem : Dr. Destroyer/Demon/Viper/what have you has found a way to copy your character. But not only have they gotten this process down but they can do it in BULK!!! There is only one glitch to the process: It creates a lesser/younger version of you with only a mere fraction of your memories and abiltiles. ie. A younger/childlike version of you. These clones DO have power and in numbers can prove to be a problem, and all signs show that in time they will indeed grow into a full fledge copy of your character...save loyal to your foes. Currently there is a half dozen active and you 'might' have time to save them. But signs show the process is done in another location. Do your stop the copies, the system that copies you, and what do you do with them afterwards?

  11. Re: What Would Your Character Do.. #45 Brand X - Pick jaw up off the floor. (He has a public id.) Sit there for a few minutes in that akward, "Should we fight." moment. Smile and nods at the relation then take the issue, 'outside'. Begin massive battle with new 'inlaw'. Yay. Family.
  12. Re: Cinematic Gun Combat: "Give me that." Cool. Now, how do I make it UBER so it's like 75% or better I get the gun from the mook. Were talking about something like power theft for the case of the Gun.
  13. Disarming is an action of combat. But when does it become a super-skillable power? I'd like to have a very 'likely' melee disarm to PC arming trick. He reaches out and 'steals' the gun to his hands. Very moviesk.
  14. I'm building power armor using the vechical rules. (It's big.) Now a question that came up was realted to the 'emergency escape' system's explosive bolts. What it technical does is blow the rear compartment when the pilot 'seat' is ejected in a rocket launch. The system I treat as a 1 time teleport, but a nasty idea came up. What if someone/thing was standing behind the mech when the bolts blew the and rear panel came crashing down. Can I treat this as a 1 time attack? Should I even bother?
  15. Re: Supers & Media: Fatal Attraction. Well, a case of media and heroes in one of my games. (Aberrant at the time, but example stands.) Heroes were a local police liason super team in the LA area. Doing VERY well for themselves. Cartoons, press releases, etc. Until things went bad. Old time foe starts tracking them down. Gets ruthless about it. Problem for the group: They have member with loads of strength and is nigh invunerable. One glitch, temper! PC's go for a dinner after mission xyz and the foe strikes. He sends in assassins with powerweapons who open up on the PC's when their defences are down. Mr. Temper gets hit and flips. Kills one of the Assassins in a most...distrubing way. The rest of the party moves out and after a very messy backally fight winds up killing more than they caught. Glitch 2: Hidden cameras. The foe used the footage to ruin their 'nice' guys image and the party almost has to disabove Mr. Temper to keep their licences. The story gets worse as Mr. Temper goins the Terragen and the PC's start working on a space station. But that's another story for later.

  17. I'm slightly curious about the era/style of play that you as a GM and alternativly like to play in. What is your 'group'? Golden - JSA pre Crisis. Original Superman/Batman tropes. Silver - Marvel invastion. Reinvisioning of Green Lantern, Flash into now reconizable concepts. Modern - 80s to 90's dominate market of Image style comics. Post Crisis DC, and X-Men are king era. post-Modern - Started with deconstruction of hero tropes. DC's new Focus line. Marvel's newer righters/artists and the company's recent alterations to the core concepts. If you can think of an era that doesn't fit into these types, say DC's Vertigo style then fine. Post it. Oh, me? I find myself slipping into the Modern era. But more from a Savage Dragon/TMNT style of play.
  18. Not exactly mind control, I was thinking about PC's that have a preprogramed series of Psyc Limbs that force them into courses of action under certine conditions. My issue is I want a logical use of Power/Skill to represent a mental implant that can be removed that causes this effect. It's temp for only the story and the PC's still have the majority of their self will, but 'something' pushes them towards a alien homeworld, a blackhole, a abandoned spacestation...until they find the device in their head and have it removed. (Not 'that' hard.) A VPP Disad?

  20. Re: WWYCD? #112: Polly Want A Cracker? Brand X - He eyes the cage with the bird and walks over to it. Putting his hands on the carry he ups the gees in the cage to something around 3 to 4 just to make sure it can't get away. Then proceeds to carry it over to UNTIL R&D for info extraction. Quietly makes addendum to his report to UNITY.

  22. Re: What would your character do? #4 Hmmm. Depends on who I was working with: Brand X - A. Get to play 'brick' and go toe to toe with the robot. Using gravity manipulation to tackle, trip, and otherwise slow the thing down. Hoping a party brick or blaster would open up on the thing. B. Hide and use his 'mass sensing' powers to throws unseen punches at any invading individiuals trying to get near Impulses cell. The Girlfriend would be my primay target for the "Head met Wall" special. C. Grab Impuse in my grav bubble. Throw every defence I had up and do a Mach 3 zip out of the battle zone taking him to a. military base. b. another super prison c. orbit to leave him there. Oiy.

Brand X - Fix world, delete memory of attack, create guardians to prevent it from happening again, secret away a little cosmic power for emergencies, grant self volentary immortality, make a few cosmetic alterations, edit worlds memory for said alterations, will a being into existance who's job is to protect said artifact and then make it a part of him and thereby unusualbe.
