  1. Re: Genre-crossover nightmares "Now Robot Santa's gonna get all jolly on your ass! Ho-ho-ho!"
  2. Re: A DC Animated-style HeroMachine Nice one. Though why can't he stay in the military as a member of the K-9 corps?
  3. Re: What Have You Watched Recently? First of all thanks to everyone who responded to my post. Secondly, the main thing I can say about my tastes in horror is I'm not big on films that rely too heavily on gore, especially when it replaces things like plot, characterization, and so forth. So from what's been said I think I'll go for Drag Me To Hell before The Descent.
  4. Re: What Have You Watched Recently? I might as well ask this here: I'm waffling between watching two recent horror films on DVD, The Descent and Drag Me To Hell. Can anyone give me any recommendations for either of those films, for or against?
  5. Re: What Have You Watched Recently? I just saw the promo for it on Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths (which was disappointing in some places and hilarious in others; a villainous Captain Marvel sporting the Goatee of Evil, complete with evil versions of Cap Junior and Uncle Dudley??) -- was it as bloody/gruesome as they implied?
  6. Re: What Have You Watched Recently? I saw that movie once, back when SyFy was Sci-Fi and they showed something akin to quality films. But yeah, that flick is schlock.
  7. Re: "Neat" Pictures What exactly is going on there? The windmill just caught fire or what?
  8. Re: Genre-crossover nightmares I see the bearshark, but where's the octopus?
  9. Re: "Neat" Pictures I have but one complaint: where's Maid Marian?
  10. Re: A DC Animated-style HeroMachine Thanks for this. I wish I could Rep you for it.
  11. Re: A DC Animated-style HeroMachine Hah, the Many Faces of Eve! That was a movie, wasn't it? And I agree with Michael Hopcroft. These characters need to be written up. Or at least a brief summary of their powers and origins, please!
  12. Re: Genre-crossover nightmares Thanks so much for putting these images into my head. They will never go away entirely. I'm billing you for the therapy. Sparklepires...
  13. Re: What Have You Watched Recently? Thank you, Susano. Have some Rep!
  14. Re: What Have You Watched Recently? Talking WW2 flicks, am I wrong, or did someone make a pair of movies a few years back in which we see the battle of Iwo Jima from both the American and the Japanese POVs?

    Pulparize It!

Re: Pulparize It! Lots in Space was comical, not horrifying, especially when they finally realized that Dr. Smith and the robot were the real stars and just turned them loose on each other every episode. "Oh, be still, you clattering collection of cogs and camshafts!"
  16. Re: Genre-crossover nightmares Hey, that way I might actually watch it. More seriously, I wonder why we've never seen a TV police/investigation drama set in the world of pro wrestling. It's not as though there'd be any lack of nasty business going on.
  17. Re: What Have You Watched Recently? It really does sound like an exceptional show. Myself, I'm about to watch the third Mummy movie, the one about the Dragon Emperor. Any advice on how it stacks up against the first two?

    Pulparize It!

Re: Pulparize It! I would pay to see that movie.
  19. Re: What Have You Watched Recently? I've heard of it but never saw it. What was the main plot of the show?
  20. Re: "Neat" Pictures Those guys look like they belong in the United States Marine Corps. Hey, the USMC had a "Sergeant Gorilla" in WW2, or at least they did at DC Comics!
  21. Re: "Neat" Pictures Been looking for that picture for years, and now that I found it I lost the original web addy again. Arrgh! At least i was smart enough to make a copy this time. A picture of one of my favorite comics characters, Fatima the vixen. Done together with the cat at an old Chicago-area SF con by a pair of professional costumers, Bruce and Nora Mai, and performed to the tune of 'Green Tambourine'. So, what do you think?
  22. Re: Genre-crossover nightmares The Three Stooges meet Mister Hyde, as written by Alan Moore. Now imagine what that would be like.
