    Sad news...

Re: Sad news... I heard from several artists that he was ill, and I was able to send an email wishing him well. Dave stevens was a nice guy as well and an really great con guest. A great Talent, he will be missed...
  14. Re: Steve's Chat Tonight I am not even sure I am going to come by, I mean, what could we talk about?? Its not like there was a announcement that happened this week. And I am sure no one will have a opinion to share with Steve this week. Seriously Boss, wear some asbestos pants and a armored shirt tonite, I hear there are a couple of folks that are not happy with the announcement of 6th. I am not really worried, I belive that most of the fans attending would be respectful, but buy Hero fans take their game seriously.
  15. Re: What Have You Watched Recently? Last week, Corwin and I watched the first Season of House. I really enjoyed it. I also got to see Little Miss Sunshine. Loved it. Lost was on and I am back into looking forward to that. This week I have the following Doc Savage the Man of Bronze. I found a cheap VHS copy. Season two of House should be in this week via NetFlix.
  16. Re: What Have You Watched Recently? The son and I are watching the first season of House, as we finally got our Netflix back on. I am having a good time watching them. I am also watching Shadow of the Thin Man right now. I DVR it some time inthe last week or so and finally getting to set down during lunch at watch it again.
  17. Re: What Have You Watched Recently? I got to see SuperBad over the weekend. SuperBad.....Any movie that has a nerd named Mclovin in it has to be an american classic. Ohh its vulger, silly, almost stupid in places, but some actually sweet scenes as well. Its typical Seth Rogan fare, three kids about to go off to collage, try to get booze for a party that will ensure them scoring with the girls of their dreams. Of the moment. Its a guy movie, and the ending credits alone will ensure that it will never be shown on national tv.
  18. Re: What Have You Watched Recently? For the record, I didn't wade thru a lot of the previous posts before I wrote this one, I hope its not too redundant too much. The Mist - I thought it was a pretty good adaptation of Steven Kings Story/Radio show. The movie was well paced and stayed beliveable for the most part. The effects were top notch and the acting over all was very well played. The ending is a total downer, but I liked that the director/writer of the Mist adaptation went for it. NOt for the faint of heart or folks who dont like horror movies. 3:10 to Yuma - Its nice to see a western today. Its a remake of a classic 1959 movie of the same name. Russel Crow plays the outlaw, and Christian Bale plays the farmer who tries to bring him to the train station to recive the reward. I think of it as more of a drama with actiony bits and a action western. I think its a good movie.
  19. Re: Anyone try 'Black' Hero Action Points? Deadlands has the fate chips. I dont have the rulebook at my side, but from memory, there were three levels, white, blue and Red. White was low level sucess, while the higher colors ment more success. It worked pretty well, The PCs could keep characters alive in case of bad dice rolls, but really could never make a bad or stupid plan work due the spending of the chips.
  20. Re: More on airships - Images Cool images Thanks for sharing

    Ps238

Re: Ps238 As a mod, I am also gonna stop any WII Vs PS3 discussion in this thread right now. If we need another console vs console discussion, Please move it to NGD or at least general roleplaying. Thank you for your time
  23. Re: What Are You Listening To Right Now? To live and Die in LA soundtrack.....
  24. Re: Urban Fantasy Recommendations I would have to recommend Garrett, PI books by Glen Cook for a great urban fantasy. Hard boiled PI solving crimes in a fantasy setting. Most of the books are pretty good. John Belairs The House With a Clock in Its Walls is a great book with modern witches, ghosts and such. There are several books that feature the lead character Lewis Barnavelt. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_House_with_a_Clock_in_Its_Walls Also, the Friday the 13 series was a great urban horror fantasy. The TV series was not connected to the Jason character, but was about 2 young people who inherited a antiques shop, only to discover the items were cursed, and now had to get them all back. Decent show actually, as was pretty scary for a TV show, and often didn't have happy endings....
  25. Re: Musings on Random Musings I am soooo gonna see Feedback. I have wrote up a character sheet (with a lot of help from my friend TK) to have him sign it. I get to see Alice and SS tommorrow or Friday.......:celebrate:):)
