Nothing being, "nobody sees 'em," not "nobody reps us." I mean, rep is a nice side effect and all, but I'm posting them to share with the board, which ends up being pretty moot if nobody sees the thread.

It is a natural law. The amount of attention one gets from cats is inverse to the degree of allergy or dislike for felines. I'm a cat person (dog person, too) so they generally ignore me until they want to be fed or let outside/inside.

Pickup D&D game tonight. I decide to do something I rarely do, a pretty mindlessly direct greataxe-wielding Barbarian. I hold off my one-and-only berserk rage until the end of the night ... and we encounter the main bad guy.
 
I get the best initiative.
I rage.
I charge.
I attack.
I hit critically.
My 3d12 damage comes up 10,11,12.
Counting my Strength and Power Attack at the time, the damage came up to 53.
Fight over.
 
Everybody just kind of stares at the minis and grid map for a moment. There's an uncomfortable silence, and then ...
 
Me: "Looks like the crit hit the fan.":D

Similar to what happened to my wife in a grocery store.
She's a tour guide at Best Friends, a large animal sanctuary and this woman ran into her at the supermarker in town.
The woman comes up to my wife and says "Would you like to meet the twins?" while reaching into her shirt. Turns out she had a pair of chipmunk babies being kept warm in her bossum.

I find that, the more time I spend away from the Hero Games boards, the less compunction I feel to post to them when I DO have time to post again.
 
Or have the boards really become a black hole of suck since I stopped spending so much time here? I honestly can't tell whether they were this irrelevant before my semi-hiatus.

Josh hadn't touched the dishes ALL weekend, and when I went to tackle them (they'd piled up . . . AGAIN), I cut my finger on a very sharp knife HE'd put in there! He offered to get me a band-aid, but those never stay on when you're elbow deep in dishwater.
 
It's not like it's anything more than a vague inconvenience, but the principle of the thing has me fuming.
 
And I HAD been planning on seducing him before he went to work tonight. Hmph.

I'm at work dealing with f$%^ spyware/viruses that infected our servers. Our servers!! That isn't supposed to happen. I want to take every virus/spyware writer and repay their kindness... Grrr.... Anyway, I'll be offline for a while.

Thanks to a friend's suggestion, I did call the police, then the ranger service (the parkway is on a different jurisdiction - traffic complaints are apparently felonies on the parkway) and filed a complaint just now.

scene:- The team is under attack from thanos (he has the space gem and reality) after completely trashing the main sentinel headquarters in los angeles. One of our most powerfull bricks who can actually go toe to toe with thanos has been diligently making his escape by tunneling underground away from the area while everyone else prepares to fight. Said brick intends to join thanos, something i know in character but am unable to act on for complicated in game reasons. The player has been planning this for a while with most other pc's not having a clue as to his plans. My pc is the only one who notices his tunnels (being bearer of the time gem has its benefits). While everyone is busy my pc creeps up to the tunnel and runs up and down it until it collapses (megascale running ).
 
gm (smiling evily): to player of brick- The tunnel you have been digging collapses around you burying you alive. You think you have little air left and your arms are pinned to your body.
 
player: "£$%***"
 
the sound of a mars bar bouncing off my head was suprisingly loud.
 
nb. The brick did survive afterall, having 90 str means digging your way out of the ground isnt too hard.

A woman in a hot air balloon realized she was lost. She lowered her altitude and spotted a man in a boat below. She shouted to him, "Excuse me, can you help me? I promised a friend I would meet him an hour ago, but I don't know where I am."
 
The man consulted his portable GPS and replied, "You're 30 feet above sea level. You are at 31 degrees, 14.97 minutes north latitude and 100 degrees, 49.09 minutes west longitude."
 
She rolled her eyes and said, "You must be a Democrat."
 
"I am," replied the man. "How did you know?"
 
"Well," answered the balloonist, "everything you told me is technically correct, but I have no idea what to do with your information, and I'm still lost. Frankly, you've not been much help to me."
 
The man smiled and responded, "You must be a Republican."
 
"I am," replied the balloonist. "How did you know?"
 
"Well," said the man, "you don't know where you are or where you're going. You've risen to where you are, due to a large quantity of hot air. You made a promise that you have no idea how to keep, then you expect me to solve your problem. You're in exactly the same position you were in before we met but, somehow, now it's my fault."

We need more threads regarding the recent changes on the boards here. Seriously. And we need more whining. There's just not enough whining from any side of this. And I'd appreciate it if the mods oiled themselves down before flexing and posing. The muscles stand out better in the light when you flex them.
