That's a curse that ought to strike fear into the heart of every Swede.

Interestingly enough, one of the rationales I’ve heard for Mitch McConnell and Senate Republicans not acknowledging Biden”s win or refuting Trump”s claims is the desire not to alienate their “base” prior to the Georgia runoff. 
 
It looks likes anything short of full-throated support of Trump is less than adequate for some and Trump”s flailing about may well cost the GOP the Senate.
 
Assuming we don’t manage a worse case scenario.
 
Personally, I would like to see both parties fracture and our electoral system changed to reasonably accommodate more than two options. 
 
On a potentially more amusing note, the behavior of Trump and the official GOP keeps reminding of an old cartoon called “The Oily American”.   It’s probably still available on YouTube, but hasn’t been aired for decades probably due to racial stereotypes (to be honest, as a kid, I thought the whole “Indian Chief” thing was part of the fantasy) but mentally replace the main character with a certain politician (bonus points if you”re good enough to manipulate it digitally). 

This is in Ohio, so it could also refer to the Republican Governor who supports mask mandates and similarly brutal assaults on personal freedom in the name of pandemic control...

That's a lot of employees for such a Mickey Mouse operation.

Trump going back to doing rallies (particularly indoors) probably isn't going to us any favors either.

Hmmm, someone who tends to overthink herself when she isn't in a situation where she doesn't have the time to second guess?

After watching a few too many Young Justice clips on YouTube, it occurs to me an effective way to convince a substantial portion of the "you're violating my constitutional rights" crowd to wear a mask is to convince them that it's tacticool...
 

It can be good to vent a little, sometimes. I was just pointing out that you were getting a little personal there with a fellow Herophile. We may not always see eye to eye on the boards, but we tend to be a good gang all around, so I'm more inclined to give people the benefit of the doubt.
 
I'm former military LE. When folks start swinging too broad a brush around about the military or about the police, I'm likely to get splattered, even though my active service days are long gone.

I think it's inevitable that we are going to lose some things as a result of all this. The key, I hope, is that will figure out the right things to lose. The things that don't work. The things that are unnecessary and really have no place in a modern civilization, save for cultural inertia.
 
The fact is that things will never be the same after all this. But that can mean one of two things. It can mean things will be worse, or it can mean things will be better. I hope by the time we're done with all this, we will have figured out which is which and chosen accordingly.
 
( Now, without drifting too far into Political thread territory, that outcome is going to depend a lot on how we choose our leaders in the next election.)

I've done quite a bit of pbp in Champions (on the old Hero Central site), but haven't done much at all with FH - so if you don't mind dealing with minimal experience in creating a FH char I would be interested.
 
Did you have a particular forum/site in mind?

Probably the signs telling me I have to wear a mask when I go into stores when I'm north of the border...
 
(Fortunately for me, not that I think anyone is actually enforcing it, I've got the mask my Mom made for me in my clipboard for just such an occasion).
