I just thought of the casting of a slender young woman with long brown hair who plays the bratty, younger sister of the hero who also had a problem with kleptomania .....Michelle Trachtenberg of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Her whole reason for being a thief is because she was born poor and thus wants to live life in the best highest lifestyle possible and she has a little brother that she was taking care of.  I believe that she was escaping an abusive father who hated her because she was a mutant.

  2. Actually what I was asking for was how did you deal with the fact that the adventure has a four way combat with VIPER,UNTIL, the Crusher Gang and the heroes.  Do you run separate combat or break up the combat turns?  Thank you for you suggestions though.

How hard it would it be to sell a rampaging green monster, a rich white man using highly-illegal military technology, an Aryan supersoldier, and a self-described 'god' purported to be worshipped by white supremacist prison gangs, as bad guys, really?

And if elderly conservatives rise to their defense, point out that they're working with a Russian spy.

And don't forget that Captain America once lead a team of two former terrorists and an ex-criminal who once had a relationship with a Russian spy.

  4. Like mentioned before, Starburst and Crusader.  They are in the first four editions of the game the example how to make a character for Champions.  They will always be what I think of when I think of Champions.

I always considered Ankylosaur iconic. He appeared in the first Enemies book, got revised in later versions but also appeared in one of the rulebooks in a cartoon

But I agree with Jhamin in choices such as Black Paladin, Bulldozer and Firewing. The latter inspired the creation of The Protectors in the To Serve and Protect book.

I keep Eurostar with the original lineup, Fiacho, Bora, Durak, le Sone and Pantera But that is just me.

I do have Voice of Doom and enjoyed the twists in it.

Ankylosaur has the best origin ever, powers by way of mail order!

  5. So I will be attending North Texas RPG Con and I will be running the classic adventure Microfilm Madness.  Only thing is this is my first time running this and I was hoping for some advice on how to run this particular adventure.

    So anyone?

Well, they went from basically 0% civilians in TOS to maybe 20% civilians in TNG.  I think 200 civvies out of 1000 passengers and crew is not outrageous.  Probably a mix of scientists, technicians, civil engineers, teachers, etc.  Remember, they're supposed to be seeking out new life and new civilizations--that's going to require people with specializations that are likely to be found outside Starfleet MOS.  Not every Federation vessel is necessarily going to have that military/civilian mix.  A scientific research vessel would likely have more civvies, and a border patrol vessel would likely have very few civilians. AIUI, some of the accommodation for civilians is for married crew or those with families to bring them along--a 5 year mission is a long time away from family.

Don't forget the TOS Enterprise had about 430 crewman onboard, the Enterprise-D had about 1,000 people.

  7. So I used to have all of the Digital Hero magazine and I once again have them.  However I seem to remember seeing a list that had all of the adventures posted for the adventures that appeared in the magazine.

However, I can't seem to find them now, could someone point me to the list?

The Golden Age: Basically from Action Comics #1 to when E.C. Comics shut down all their horror comics.

The Dark Age: From the shut down of most of E.C. Comics stuff (except for Mad), till Fantastic Four #1.

The Silver Age: From Fantastic Four #1 till the Death of Gwen Stacy.

The Bronze Age: From the Death of Gwen Stacy till, um, the 90's.

The Iron Age: The 90's till the end of the Comic Book Crash (the oversaturation of event comics and special covers).

The Modern Age: After the crash till now.

    Subages:

The Black And White Age: From Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #1 till the early 90's.

The Manga Age: From Lone Wolf And Cub #1 till the end of Borders book store.

Others are free to give more details.

You could say that the Bronze Age is still going on.

Well, since the official take is that the Valdorian Age is a time of reduced magical power, it might end up being a one-way trip. Time travel based on superpowers or rubber science may be able to get you there, but then they don't work again while you are there. Cue Doctor Destroyer in a rage when his technology suddenly fails, and he finds himself trapped amongst a bunch of primitive savages.

This actually makes the Valdorian Age an interesting possibility for exiling superhumans, or exiling people in general actually.

The other reason to go there might be to pick up some surviving artifact that is harder to acquire in the Turakian Age.

That happened to Reed Richards once, he went a little crazy IIRC.
