  1. I am starting a new campaign soon it will be a regular Champion style game. The thing is that I am going to have the legendary hero’s having existing. These heroes will be from many eras, from Hercules to Carl Kolshak, the Night Stalker. What I need is help in creating a list of these heroes; I am hoping that you all would be so kind to help me make up this list. If possible I’m hoping that if you do help me that you list them via this manner. I am going to make a master list that I’ll update as needed. The reason I am doing this is that with these heroes having being real will give me many game idea’s and game hooks for my PC’s. Ancient: Hercules, Xena, Samson Medieval: The Viking Prince, El Cid

  3. Re: WWYCD:Little Girl Lost The C that I am using the most is in a Star Champion world, he's called Ca'Rom Holt, he's a combination of Dawn Star and Wildfire in an odd way. He's the last of he's people, or so he thought until a few adventures ago. He was asked to stay with he's 'new found' people but was told he'd have to stay with them and not the people that gave him meaning to he's life, so he told them thanks but no thanks. He'd want the girl to be happy, if she's happy here he'd leave her, but he would also do a bit of research on the grandparents, how old, and other things before or if he told them.
  4. Re: Creative uses for Change Environment I shall now steal this idea....a very creative idea. Now to see just how I can modify it to reak havok with my players.
  5. Re: Danger Rooms In a game that I'll be starting soon the heroes will eventually become the teacher/mentors of the next generation of heroes. So between the time the team first comes together and when they establish the school I'll have to create a "Training/Danger Room(T/DR)". In the past I pointed them out but now I just set a limit on the power output/active points/DC's. I then use the idea of STAR TREK Holodecks. That way the images/holograms are solid and can hurt the PC's but not actually kill them. I find that having a T/DR helps the C's develope teamwork, new skills, powers(i.e. new uses of existing powers as well as new powers).
  6. Re: Eurostar is friggin' fast! Eurostar....a name I hadn't heard in a long time. I GMed quite a few dust ups with the team that existed for 12 years. In that time we had about 20 or so times we fought....my PC's were more or less in the 75pt active power level. The PC's won a total of three times. Each time the PC's got lucky and took out Mentalla and Pentara, but every time that happened we'd usually lose a PC, either they'd die or be so beaten up after that the PC quit the herobiz. When I used Eurostar the PC team would look at me and they would tell me that they hated me. I knew that they loved the fights even if they couldn't win, even when they could have if they actually used teamwork, but all in all they did hold there own. They killed LaSone once and the next time they fased Eurostar....he was back. A Cyborg Version, they really, really hated me. It helped that the team had a PC that had find weakness with all he's attacks, and a high speed. He's attacks averaged around 50pt active, but he'd end up fighting Pentara and the two of them would be real hurt after. The PC once took her out, KO'ed but not dead and we actually cured her insanity. The next time the two teams faced off there was a Pentara, a clone with all her old powers and insanity. So I have fond memories of Eurostar and yes I'd agree THEY ARE FREAKING FAST
  7. Re: Campaign length The longest running Campaign I was in started in 1980 and ran without a reboot till 1992. It started out as a standard four-color hero world and as it evolved it became extremely varied. We had young heroes, mutants, mages, giant robots and all around weirdness. All these happened in the same world with crossovers happening all the time. We were able to do this by having different people take over the overall world and GMing. I found that it worked, but as all things end this one did. We rebooted a few times after, using different gaming systems from Marvel to DC, but we always come back to Champions. I have found that, all in all, a game will last as long as you can keep it fun and evolving. Sometimes it works better and sometimes not, but as long as it’s fun it can last. Currently we have a common game world with two GM's, and 5 different teams, ranging from 30 active point powers to 60-70 active point powers. This world has been running for right at 3 years. The different teams have a different feel to them. This allows us to game in a common world and still game different styles in that common world. Soon we will be starting a new world based on the old one, if anyone remembers the old Earth 1 and Earth 2 in DC; it will be in a parallel world but set ~25 yrs in the past. We will be using common idea’s, house rules, etc.. I have learned that this works as it allows people to play in a game world with enough in common with the one currently active and keep both active.
  8. Re: Fantasy Hero / Star Hero .... SpellJammer? No I haven't myself done anything with it but I did have an idea on how to do the Helm's. So here goes, a magic using being, Star Hero C, utilizes the magical energy they can use in this way, take the largest active point cost power and convert it to damage classes, you then use the number of DC's as LY/day that the ship can then move.
