  1. Re: Super Human Registration Act in 5th ed Don't use, hate it, have had this same thing tried by GM's in one form or another. Never had a C that has, and will never have one that is.
  2. Re: Bases and Places I promise that once I work it up and get my GM's approval, I will do just that. When my GM told me her idea, yes a female GM and a darn good one, I was like OK!!!. She made this gamer happy.
  3. Re: Real world vs. Game world Stolen and repped. I did this once but you did it better.
  4. Re: Bases and Places I have had many kinds of bases in the years that I have played Hero System. I have been part of a team that had a 'Public' HQ, not that my C liked it, he hated it. He was smart he hard two of his own, one in an abandoned subway station in Chicago, and another under he's home outside the city, like Batman. Had an orbital base. Had an underwater base. Had a mobile base that was a submarine, one was like the S.H.I.E.L.D. helicarrier, another was a space craft/station. One was in a pocket dimension, that could be mobile and reached via X-Dim move. Right now am in three hero games, two different worlds. One game has mutilple bases in multiple cities. The main base in that one is like the Xavier School, and the first team's HQ. In that same game universe, The base is a large space station, but we also have a mobile base that is a huge Battleship. In the other universe, so far one base. Middle of Montana, underground and known by the military, but not under it's control. My personal favorite type of base is a mobile one with a pocket dimensional accessable via X-Dim Move. Actually going have one of those in the main game universe. It's going to be connected to an old VW Bus, that has been altered itself and the base within it.

    The Old Races

Re: The Old Races I am going to start a space game myself. In mine it start's out with no real connection to any part of the CU. The PC's will get thrown into a 'different' reality and be lost. It's has a feel of a combo of Star Trek: Voyager/Bab 5/Star Wars/Lost in Space. The PC's are all different members of some of the major races in the area of space where the game start's. When they drop thru the 'Looking Glass', well let's say that they will meet some strange races as well as some not so strange.
  6. Re: This week on "Champions"... Jump Start Universe 10/1/2005 6pm - 9pm, may be extended due to event's The Six, not the name of the team, have a new base. In the wilds of Montana. The heroes having stopped the first known supervillian the week before they had developed a working relationship with the military and also a military suppiler, team's female Brick: All American Girl's father. The team mentalist traveled to Scotland to visit he's family. During the visit he's power's under go a transformation. He is now a druid of the Celtic Goddess Morganna, in this reality, goddess of Justice and Battle. (told in flashback) The team find that the stranger that saved them, has made a 9 hole golf course on the ranch, also called the Fortress.
  7. Re: This week on "Champions"... Jump Start Universe 9/17/2005; 6pm - 9pm, a non-standard CU Series Opener: "A Awakening!" Six collage students are heading back from a Fourth of July party, the summer of 1995. A transdimensional event, six heroes saved by a stranger and the birth of superhumans. The six find out over the next few days they discover that they have unusal abilities. The six then start the search of the stranger.
  8. Re: Duplication character...sort of ok, I've done Duplication Heroes and I can so understand the book keeping headache it can create. I will with your permission use him in a game I'm running. If not then I will use the idea. You were repped.
  9. Re: What in genre bit do you like that no one else seems to enjoy ? Well in the group I play they don't like Androids, or to some extent Aliens. Even when we have a PC that routinely builds automations for everything from security to house cleaning. Plus the champain world has a group currently lost in a distant part of the galaxey. I just happen to have made a Android and I play an Alien. I get no respect from the other PC's. I even had my Android mystically made into a 'real' person. I didn't mind bc it allowed me to alter the Android C a bit. My Alien has these nice contacts all over the region the PC's are trapped in and I have to go and do all the 'leg' work myself and then 'fight' to get the team leader to take what I find and us it. In that same game, another PC is an alien he just looks, and is almost totally, human. He's a drunk, lieing, cheating, creap and he get's all of the PC's respect. He is asked to do all the info gathering and he has to end up asking my C to help. NOW THAT IS WHAT I DON'T LIKE.
  10. Re: WWYCD: Foxbat The Mighty! OK now this one is a weird one. Raven the Traveller A transdimensional warror, member of the Blood, and mystic, would look at FB ..... stare for a bit then walk up to him and apport the bank back to it's place and look at FB. "Now when do actually get powers?" Then while he listens to FB's rant, use Magical VVP to figure if FB has power defence in the level he's other powers are. If not he'd use a invisiable attack to drain the poor child's Mental D and con, then switch to a ego attack and hope to heaven he stuns the idot. Nightshade A Ninja with find weakness will all attacks @ 24-, she's a C in a semi-unlimited world would try and find weakness, do it till she cant't. Then She'd use her 16 DC attacks to take FB down. All the time with her levels in DCV, Total is 20. Cosmic Blue My KOS-MOS C, would just start blasting, punching, doing what ever she can. She might win, she might not, but she'll fight. All the time using her mind link with Machines to talk to her father's AI, Harvey. That way if she goes down her father would have the needed info to take FB down later. Flame A young fire using mutant. Look at FB and take a deep breath and wait for the rest of he's team to arrive. The Team up and try? to take FB out. He'd let one of the others in he's team wonder who FB got so powerful. Storm Shard A very beautiful Ice Elemental would do what for her is not normal, she'd make small talk and try to talk FB into putting the bank down and then try to get him to tell how he got the power boost. Ca'Rom Hotl A alien cosmic power EBer. He'd look at FB, who he has no idea as to what he is/was, then he'd use he's Life Detect to find how many people are inside the bank and do what he could to rescue them. Then he'd use he's Life Detect to see just what FB's Defences are, detect is discriminatory and analyze. Then after he tried to do that and if FB attacked him. Ca' would go all out on trying to stop him by staying out of reach and lighting up FB with Cosmic Energy.
  11. Re: UNITY 2010: A New Champions Campaign I was so happy to get to read another undate for your team Bill. I love it. Keep it coming.
  12. Re: UNITY 2010: A New Champions Campaign I have to agree, I wait for my Unity C hit every week. It's given me idea's, ohh so many idea's. Plus stealing your idea's happens to be one of the highest compliments I can give you.
  13. Re: WWYCD? "Once more, with Justice" Cosmic Blue Ok, she's just become human that was a battle android, aka KOS-MOS style. So she'd sing about how happy she is to be human and also how happy she is to be alive. The style would be in Anime, and in a combo of Japanese and English. Flame A teen aged mutant Human Torch, 15 and Japanese, who is into anime and american comics. It would be about he's enjoyment of having powers and also the responsibilty that came from them. The style would be Japanese high opera and in Japanese. Storm Shard Mutant Ice Elemental, she'd be singing abot how hard it is to be a hero and how hard you have to work at it. She just faced a personal failure, she was unable to stop hundreds of people from being killed. The style would be jazz/blues and in Norwidgen. Night Shade She'd run as fast as she can to someplace where no-one could hear her, then find the responsible party and well, mystic Ninja, it.
  14. Re: Pulp Stargate! Mummm, you just gave me a great idea. Thanks. Ohh btw you just got repped for this. Not alot of rep-power but it's better than nothing.
  15. Re: What Would Your Character's City Be Like? Nightshade A gritter Chicago, one that is modern but has the feel of the 30's. The mob/yakazu/tongs are in charge, the city government just does as it's told. A grim, sad, city but with some communities of hope. Cosmic Blue A ultra-modern city, Earth after the rebuilding of WWIII; Star Trek. A true multi-cultural city, also beings from other worlds. Storm Shard A New York that is both gritter and brighter. The darkness hides in the places it always hides in NYC. This NYC is the real center of culture and finance. It has the same old probleams but the government is run like a bussiness and does work to make it a better city. Ca'Rom Holt A far future city that has all the nice tech you'd expect of the level of Star Wars w/ hints of Bab5.
  16. Re: WWYCD: Omelas Cosmic Blue Is a new to being human but she'd free the child and then stand back and make sure all the other kids are safe and then she'd go and 'nuke' the town and all the adults. She was once an android that has this really strange code of conduct, her creator/father was a black op's type, so she'd put these criminal's out of the omniverse's misery. Ca'Rom Holt Is a comsic powered being that was an orphan and anyone harm a child, and this is more than just harming. He'll take the child, and the other children, and then use a bit of cosmic fire to level the town and if the adult's didn't run he'd not cry over them dieing. Srorm Sard Is a ice elemental that would save the kid and then all the other kids and then take them somewhere to be safe. The adults ..... well she won't kill, but she'd use her cold powers to make the adults dig out of a small very localized ice age. Nightshade A mystic ninja, would take the kid and then burn the town down. She would make sure that other kids were safe but she'd take the kid she saved with her, not to raise but to see that he was helped and then raised ina loving family. The Traveler A dimensional wanderer, would send all the kids to a place were they would be safe then he'd use he's powers to find out why this started and then if it was a deal with a 'deamon' or other evil, and it sounds like it was. He'd ..... well he can be real cruel, so .... you use your own imagination.
  17. Re: Xenosupers! She has to meditate due to her conversion from an android to a human, she has to actually remember during the meditation she's now an organic, plus it also allows her to go over her daily experiances. If she fails to do the meditation she has what would be with a machine, a failsafe that reduces her powers to a 'safe' level. Right now it was the only way that I could do her due to the point limits on the champain she's in.

a telecyber and EBer. Overdrive created her at as an experiment on android creation. He used known mental engrames to create a template for the androids personality and also to give it the ability to interact with organics. Kira was on her field test with her 'fathers' team when an accident caused her to be damaged. A mystic member of the team used her healing ability and in an unexpeced manner she was transformed from an android in to a real human, a human with modifed genetics that allowed her to keep her 'powers'. Kira is now having to learn what it means to be human and is on a 'vision quest' or 'walkabout' to learn what it means to be human. Kira is an outspoken person as she is still learning the social skills that tell her when it is or is not proper. Kira's uniform is a almost exactly like KOS-MOS from Xenosaga2. Please be nice and not too mean on the -2 limitation on the creation of the C. I hope I get some feedback on this one.
  19. Re: Useful Settings for Hero? Any, all of the above. I love to use maps but hate doing them anymore. I used to do them all the time when I was younger, say in my late 20's early 30's but now in my middle 40's I just don't have the inclination or time to do a good map anymore. A good map helps tell the story as well as allow for detailed movement of all the objects in a combat and out of combat. I also have just used props and then used either a tape mesure or yard stick to do the movement, etc.. Raven
  20. Re: UNITY 2010: A New Champions Campaign Ok, once again we have props to look at. Bill you are nice to show us this. I so wish you could be my GM. Raven
  21. Re: An idea on making the system a bit more dangerous I wanted to do this so that I wouldn't have to use, Hit Locations, Impairing and Disabling rules and Critical hits, I just wanted a way to do it fast and dirty. So altering the DC's was the way I figured was the easiest way. Raven
  22. Re: Duke (art and characters) I like the pic....I wish I had the ability to draw anywhere near that well. I can't believe that I missed this on the 6th, I am just happy I found it. Ohh rep on the way. Raven
  23. Re: New Power: Invulnerability OK I like that idea. I just might steal it and use it in a new game I am going to start soon. you have rep on the way, if I can give it. I could and did.
  24. Re: Friendly faces in the Post-Apocalypse I have a very small question? Are you allowing equipment to be used, if you are that car on blocks might show up alot sooner.
  25. Re: UNITY 2010: A New Champions Campaign You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to keyes_bill again.
