  1. Re: Every good four color supers games needs: You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Matt Frisbee again. I owe you rep for this one. The hero that always seems to be a mess, he or she is unable to have a real life but he/she has a great life as a hero. The hero team that is always fighting within itself in private, but in public seem happy with each other and friends. A Hero that has no knowledge of being a hero, always falls asleep, black-out's. The so called villian that is actually a hero, but no one will believe it, not even other heroes.
  2. Re: Help, the car hit the character! Well to me I would have to say that it's normal damage, with a BUT!!!! . Sometimes it would have to be killing damage. As said by others, it depends on the type of SUV, and the type of hero game you are playing.
  3. Re: A Day in the Life Of... We use alot of blue booking. It works really well.
  4. Re: How important is heroism in your campaign? I agree Storn, even in the game I am in right now I have three C's that would kill to save others. One wouldn't even question it, he's a Wolverine type, but he'd only do it if he had to, he was a soilder so to him you have to kill sometimes inorder to do the right thing. (x3 Pen on a 4d6-1 KA, max hardened is x2). One is an alien in a distant part of the galaxey, he is from a culture that it's either kill or be killed. And the last is/was an android now human, her program was based on logic, so the needs of the many out weight the needs of the few, so to kill so that the many can be saved, she would do it and then question the action, not that he would have felt it was wronge but that society does.
  5. Re: Making a "Wall Jump" power I've done this with a C, but the C had clinging already. I just allowed the C to make an Acrobatic's roll as they touched a surface and then leap. To change direction in the middle of the leap I used the landing/touch to allow the direction change. The C had 18" leap and a acrobatics roll of 17-, so he could take a full 18" move and could alter the direction each time he landed. I also allowed the C to buy levels with leaping so he could stop using the acrobatics roll and just use a level for the bounces.
  6. Re: How important is heroism in your campaign? Ok in the game I am in right now we have multiple teams and age group for the C's. We have a teen group at an Xavier like school, they are all being taught the way of the hero. Atlanta, and the school is know to the public. One is in Atlantic City, in our reality called Paradise City. They are like a family, they are true heroes, but with an edge. Some of the heroes have killed, and some of those are getting used to doing that. Another is in NYC, it is a group of mostly heroic types. Only one of the C's is questionable but he's designed to be the dark, semi-loner type. He's a cyborg. Another is in Chicago, that team is very heroic. But one of the PC's has a probleam, he got zapped by Tag from Clown, now the PC is in love with Random, in our world called Gyspy. We also have a small group of C's that are 'lost in space'. The PC's ended up in the middle of a galatic war and had to be the ones to stop it. So they are true heroes. In that same area we have others that are not heroes, persay but thay can be heroic. Others that are but looking for a way to stop a threat they don't know the full power of. Others are looking for a way home. So I'd say that in the games I'm playing in and not running, being a hero is the main thing. The ones that haven't been acting the part are starting to pay a price for it. Our GM is using the ways they have acted to make them be very unconfortable in many ways
  7. Re: Sharing the Campaign ideas you can't use... yet I have a new game that just started. I am going to have them time and dimensional shifting for a few games. I started the team in 1995, and I have to get them upto 2015 for in game reason's. Idea 1. Monster Island: King Kong, like giant ape, Godzila, like giant psydo-dino, etc... Idea 2. Where in time is Carman Sanitago? like run: A group of time hops to recover artifacts that were stolen and the present changed. They have to meet people of that time and stop the crimes to set the 'future' right. (The reason they the hero's in question don't forget the 'real present' is an NPC, The Raven, based off the Blood, is not from this reality and as such can 'feel' the changes and will protect the PC's from the time shift. Idea 3. Pocket realities: A few games where the PC's have to hop into a few small sub-realities in order to find people, material's, etc.
  8. Re: The Bureau of Special Investigations - long You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Dominique again. Consider this stolen with many thanks. I love when you do this. I get great idea's and info to use with my own game I run.
  9. Re: Adventure Modules Ahh, how I do remember them. I loved most of them, hated some, used them all. I still have workup's of the major C's from them. Not alot of them would be legal under FRed. I still have a hero based on the Blood, I have used him so often that he's the one my Avatar and name are based on.
  10. Re: Who knows physics? It is re-polerization, but also refaction of light. What it would have to do be is red-shifted from the UV into the visiable part of the spectrum. The science isn't all that rubber, more like a spongy foam. As for the conversion, that's the spongy foam.
  11. Re: How to build a Gene Mutator? 28 pt cost. Major Transform 5d6+1 (standard effect: 16 points) (current genetic's to new genetic's), Costs END Only To Activate (+1/4) (100 Active Points); Gestures, Requires Gestures throughout (Requires both hands; Complex; -1 1/2), Concentration, Must Concentrate throughout use of Constant Power (1/2 DCV; -1/2), Gradual Effect (1 Turn (Post-Segment 12); -1/4), Requires A Skill: Genetics Roll (Active Point penalty to Skill Roll is -1 per 20 Active Points; -1/4), End Cost: 8.
  12. Re: The amazing Superblog! Ok now this is just weird enough to be a good read. repped
  13. Re: Telekinesis and Martial Arts Matt, please post the sheet. I could use a villian like that. repped
  14. Re: UNITY 2010: A New Champions Campaign OK that was a good one. I'm happy to hear the wedding went well and they are off and running with this new life together.
  15. Re: Shadowcats Starship Equipment Catalog wow Shadow, that is a list and a half. I love it. Repped as well as stolen. Gods I love this place.
  16. Re: Freedom Virus? Dude you are losing it. I think you need a short vacation. But I'm happy to see I'm not the only one to think he saw something in a book and then can't find it.
  17. Re: UNITY 2010: A New Champions Campaign Same here form the Raven. Best wishes on the wedding and many happy years together. Bill we can make it with out real posts with the mini-posts. We all need our Uinty-C fix. hehehehehehehehehe
  18. Re: How do i Represent a Taunting skill? You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Super Squirrel again. man I wanted top give you rep, besides I'm going to also steal this idea, because it's so good.
  19. Re: Law & Order: Spandex Vigilante Unit I like this. I do believe that this will be something I take and use. I love this place, you get all sorts of good idea's and things you can use. bigdamnhero you got repped on this, so I hope you understand that I liked it ALOT!!!!!
  20. Re: How would you build Dr. Morbius? I repped you one this, bc I'm old also. Ok now to helping you do this. What about doing the monster as a summon, and give it mind link, psyhic bond, limited to only unconsious desires, needs (you and your GM figure out the lim on that), plus a few other lim's, (I don't have my book in front of me so you need to look them up). Dissapears when mentalist/summoner is KO'ed. Add feedback to the summoner when the monster is damaged, I'd make it a culimitive mind control--that makes the summoner want the monster to stay or hurt more than the one harming it. That's all I have now.
  21. Re: Labs in Bases... I actually use both idea's. I buy a skill/lab so that it gives the addition to the roll, and I also buy skill levels that are usuable by others, and I usually do the levels as foci.
  22. Re: Victorian Hero (Sorta) Lord Liaden, I didn't know you were back. Good to see your name again on the boards. Ok the reason for this post. Thanks for HERO by Gaslight link. Repped
  23. Re: Please help with a build - a la Theora Jones I have used this idea before. In a game that I am GMing, I have a C that watches them via he's powers, but he doesn't actually do more than watch to pull them out either as individuals or the team. Repped for this
  24. Re: ghost characters campaign I have a small question, just how would you make the cost be such that you ccouldn't do this? What I am asking what is the 'natural state' limitation/advantage value? Thanks before anyone answers. Raven
