GotG was relatively long and his attention span is relatively short because he's, like, six.  And I get the feeling that the Battle of Xandar takes up the last half hour of the movie, and comes right after the fight at Knowhere, which also had plenty of explosions.
 
Mostly though, that particular kid's entertainment cortex is geared more towards humor than violence.  Unlike his older brother.

It's bad enough that the weather has to be like this, but for the love of f__k please stop bitching about it.

We've been looking madly for a new apartment (amazing how a deadline will motivate you!), and we found a place we really like. It's a large (1600 square foot) side of a duplex with three bedrooms on a quiet street. We put in an application for it last Tuesday--just in time for the potential landlord to leave the state for a week. Three other families applied for it too. So we've been stressed about how it would all fall out...because if we didn't get it, we'd have just over two weeks to find a place and make the move.

No offense, but if she wants to take pictures naked that's her prerogative. If someone steals them they are a thief and an asshole. You should not, just because you're famous/attractive/female/funny-looking/whathaveyou live in a state of douchebag forced modesty (or brazenness for that matter)

More seriously, if you were thinking of a career change, any kind of class or seminar related to the target field would be a good idea.  It would help alleviate the boredom, and might help with networking and resume-space-filling as well.
