You could do it with a complication: susceptible to more allied ninjas, drain x amount from stated ninja abilities, with the standard effect rule, so you get a base subtraction from each listed stat per y ninja.  For example, for each doubling of ninja you lose 3 points from DEX, SPD, PD, ED, Multipower Ninja Abilities, and Martial Arts, then make a chart of degradation.  With 2 ninja you lose this, for 4 you lose this, etc.

Hello guys. I was going to wait until the physical copies came in next week, but I went ahead and took the PDF+HDC version live in the website. When the print copies get here I'll take it fully live here on the Hero Games website (and at IPR), and have AC make all of the social media announcements including on the front page of the website. I'll also take it live on DriveThruRPG once I've checked over their proof.

    First,

I'll hold on this until it's on the website store. I want you to get all my money. And buying a book about fighting an evil organization from Amazon just feels too ironic.

I'm not sure about the cover though. I think I get what you're going for -- other groups like VIPER  and DEMON are more obvious threats, while the IHA appear innocuous but are actually a looming danger. But IMHO putting those groups on the cover will confuse many buyers. And the ordinary-looking guy overlooking the scene makes me think he's the Game Master. Now I know many players would feel the GM is the biggest supervillain in the game, but on a cover he just doesn't seem menacing.

Sir, there are religions, philosophies, and entire sciences that are founded on words  less true than these.

Simply for saying it out loud, you should be able to look behind shadows.  For understanding it as true, you should be able to pull the strings on the venitian blinds of the cosmos, and cast away all semblance of darkness (until nine-thirty PM or so; I like it dark when I sleep).

One of the mistakes made with  GURPS as it developed was the continual adoption of skills and subskills. Overwhelming, in the end. Hero benefits from a smaller, broader selection, I feel.

I stumbled on an updated version of the HERO system module for FoundryVTT! Still for FoundryVTT v9, but it will be updated to v10 soon! A new developer has taken over the project.

I hope to have this out by Spring 2023, God willing, and then I'll turn my eyes toward a rebuild of Escape from Stronghold.  The big holdup with that is figuring how much of Stronghold to put in the module and how much to just refer people to the Hero 5th Stronghold sourcebook.  After that, I will start work on the Master Guide, to finish up the trilogy of main campaign books.  I hope to get Escape from Stronghold out next year, but the Master Guide probably won't be out until 2024, because its a pretty major undertaking and will be a lot of writing.  Its not going to be gigantic, its just a lot of the stuff I've put out has been previously roughed out in various forms over the years.

Once that's done, I want to do a Fantasy Hero 101 adventure, like Champions Begins, a treasure book, and a re-release of the Bestiary and Field Guide with some changes to formatting to match the Codex and to update them slightly (errata, etc).  Then a second Bestiary Book and a couple modules and my main Campaign Setting will be complete, probably 3-4 years from now.

What about the version of grabbing the sword, using two hands in a "clap" so as not to get cut?

Throwing a 2-handed sword forcefully and accurately.

Drives me nuts when I see it in a movie, because it is almost always done with one hand, overhand, and with no more effort than I might pitch a dagger.

It is, however, aomething of a Schtick in fantasy.

BigJackBrass reacted to Chris Goodwin in FH 1e Package Deals for 6th edition
I've converted the profession package deals (warrior, rogue, priest, wizard) from Fantasy Hero 1e to 6th edition, in Hero Designer.  The templates themselves can be found here.  Any non Hero Designer related discussion of them can happen here; if there are issues with them, you can probably bring them up here as well, though it might be better to post on the Hero Designer board and "at" me in the thread.

The package deals include prefabs for the "choose one from group A" types of abilities.  The ability groups were pretty easygoing; most of them included examples that modified the ability groups for characters outside of the basic package's purview.

I intend to do at least a few more; the race packages maybe.  I'd had the thought to convert the spells and magic items included in the corebook, but that will take a while.  The monsters maybe, eventually, but we've got tons of those that would work already in the 6th edition bestiary.

It is at least the easiest one to find. In fact, Spirit Games (in the UK, admittedly) are still selling their old stock at a discount, although it would be wise to check that they’re definitely hardbacks: they were when I bought from them.
