  1. This might be stupid question. Background information from this current situation. One player of my group is playing possessor character. His character was sociopath when he created it (player wanted character to be like that), he took Hunted: NSA (his character killed NSA agents). Well...no he has been playimg his character like psychopath (plays it quite well). He has taken control of one good superhero lady, as he gained total control over lady, he did all kind of nasty things. Lady survived and he got first complication from game: Hunted: frequently, more powerful, Defenders of New York superheroes group. Then betrayed UNTIL, he is hunted by them. I wish that it would be enough, but no. He killed some innocent locals when he was fleeing UNTIL. He used possession, which is illegal. T Then he killed main NPC from adventure (possessed him and cut his throat). Feds find out that and he is hunted by FBI. He did not stop to that...he is now hunted by PRIMUS. Generally speaking his character is unplayable at the moment, or what you think? How you would handle that character? My idea is to tell player to create new character. Just a tip for all GMs. Don't allow PCs to take possession powers.
  2. Is this book done so that there are no necessary need for Star Hero book and only by buying this one will allow me to GM? (I have basic books from Hero System)
  3. I forgot to mention, as I have hero system rules already, I fear that I will pay from rules "2nd time", and I won't enough content from world for 60$+shipping costs.
  4. It is pretty easy to use Cthulhu adventures....from modern day setting. Just ignore insanity.
  5. I have plenty of books: Champions Complete, Champions Powers, The Ultimate Base, Equipment book for 6th edition,The Ultimate Vehicle, Fantasy Hero, Grimoire, Bestiary, Millenium City, Hero System 1&2, The Book of the Machine and Crooks...(don't remember whole name). I am very interested from MHI, but I just want to be sure that book cobtains really everything without need to buy more books to get setting running well enough. I am after background information, world information, setting ideas and so on. I can make adventure to that setting by myself. It is like modern day cthulhu without insanity point of view and too serious horror theme.
  6. I have read that thread from rpg.net, but I am looking for some rpg.net style reviews. I know that book is well written, but I am more worried about content. I will buy 2 more books to Hero System and I am trying to decide the other one from these: Dark Champions, Star Hero or Monster Hunter International. All are different, but those are the books that I am looking for currently. Dark Champions and MHI are closer to each other than Star Hero.
  7. Are there any reviews available? I am interested from this book, but I would like to read review first.
  8. To differ from Champions Complete. Some basic monsters should be in book. To have ready monsters is important in fantasy genre.
  9. I decided to order mega bundle from store and I would like to get some coversion rules. Are there any? Do I need to make any editing with Fantasy Hero Grimoire 1 and 2 if I use those with 6th Fantasy hero? What kind of coversion I need to make to use monsters of 5th edition with 6th edition rules?
  10. I don't want a PLAYER to control power. Idea is so that character can try to get his/her rage to control, but when rage is on it is uncontrollable from power. Lets make simple, non game mechanic, description. Character A has normal attack power which radiates heat. Then someone insults character and he is not able to gain control over his feelings. Damage of heat radiation increases from original damage of 4d6 to 6d6. Then...someone makes a big mistake and he insults character more badly some how. Character mood changes and he goes to rage. Then damage increases to 8d6. Character has difficulties to gain control over his power. Summa summarun: More angry, more damage. Player cannot limit character's power, when character gets angry...so even player wants to limit power somehow, he is not able to. It is always used at "full force".
  11. Yes. Like she Hulk, but human torch powers. I am thinking game information now 😊
  12. In the Hero System books movement that basic human runs is 12m. Is that combat or non-combat movement? I will assume that it is combat movement. During non combat movement SPD 2 basic character can move 48m in 12 seconds (which is one turn). Basic human (in real world) can run (sprint) 100m in 14seconds or so. Almost double of movement that is mentioned in book. What is general idea behind that 12m?
  13. I am trying to build a power where damage of power is not controlled by the player. Idea: Power will be triggered when character gets angry. Damage of power increases maximum of two degrees from starting level and can be only controlled with succesfull EGO roll. This character should burst into flames and intensity of flames will increase when she gets more angry.
  14. I would like to get some sort of list from adventures that are still available. I know that there are many books that have plot hooks, but more likely I would like to have something where are maps, NPCs etc.
  15. This help a lot. It is not that complicated power: Roll OMCV, if successfull -> Compare results from table (EGO (Mind Control) 60 - Mental Defense - Target's EGO = result to be compared to table). Check what you can do. Then same check for telepathy (to make sure that command can be given): Compare results from table (EGO (Telepathy) 40 - Mental Defense - Target's EGO = result to be compared to table). No need to make OMCV attack roll. In this power Possessor transform own body to psychic energy and goes inside the victim, it needs touching victim. I am actually GM and I allowed one player to take this power. I just wanted to be sure how that works in game mechanics.
  16. Mind control is then 20 + 60 or characters ego + 60? Then that is compared to mind control table?
  17. Theros

    Equipment

Bedroll...or blanket. Hand axe...atleast those missing from lists. Scabbards and weapon belt, if needed.
  18. Game information: Possession (Mind Control Ego +60, Telepathy +40), Reduced Endurance (0 ENd, +1/2). No range (-1/2), Unified Power (-1/4) plus Desolification, Projection (+0), Merging (+0), Reduced Endurance (0 END, +1/2), Feedback from Host Body (-1), Linked (-1/2), Unified Power (-1/4)
  19. Well...some sort of adventure book would be excellent.
  20. This might be too late...but...horror theme to fantasy setting works. Something like Warmachine and Witcher style.
  21. Well...generally I don't use physical or spiritual, I use both. I use gods generally speaking following ways. "Normal" pantheon gods. They can appear in any shape, but usually take human (physical) form, not to scare people or attract too much attention. Those are spiritual beings with ability to transform. Then there are pure spirits, so called ancestors. Ancestors are powerful beings, beliefs, more they have followers the more powerful those are. Then...my personal favorite, Demon Lords which can be compared to gods. Natural form is physical. More tied to physical planes. The most powerful from gods is Chaos. It lives between and around the planes. It is creator and destroyer. It don't have any form, but can be in any form. It is too twisted for any being to understand. It is not evil, but not good. It can be counted as Overlord or Master of all gods.
  22. I would give her league of mechanical guards. Armed with power swords and power shields. She uses jewel, that is in her crown, to control those.
