I suspect the allegations against Trump vis a vis sexual misconduct will make Bill look like a baby faced novice.

What is so obvious? That she is smarter than Trump? Sure. That alone should make her a better politician. Maybe that between two horrible choices, she is (maybe) slightly less horrible? She manages spin better so public appearance is certainly better. I've never questioned her intelligence or political acumen. I've only ever questioned her moral compass. I still do.

This whole exercise is flawed. There is not a binary choice here (that she is completely innocent or completely guilty). I also want to point out that, for the majority of her alleged criminal behavior she was married to the Arkansas State Attorney General, the Governor of Arkansas, and ultimately, the President of the United States. She has been a stalwart member of the Democratic Party since before I was born. To assume that she is not politically connected and protected is naive at best. I will also admit that there is likely a lot of noise drowning out the legitimate signal. The problem is sifting through the noise, which nobody really seems inclined to do without an agenda of some sort. When looking for any sort of facts, agendas are bad. At this point it is kind of moot anyway. Whether I like it or not, Hillary Clinton is going to be our next President. I knew that when Trump was given the Republican nomination.

I don't understand why it is important that we don't like, trust or support HRC. My negative mind conjures all sorts of bad things, but really why does it matter? If this is some sort of public shaming exercise, it failed. I might be wrong about Clinton. It has certainly happened before. I might look back in four years and say, "Clinton was good for the nation." Today I don't believe it. I certainly feel no shame and I still have no intention whatsoever of casting my vote for her. If I turn out to be wrong, then I will admit it. I've done so on other issues and I will do so again. How about we revisit this conversation after her term is up. Heck, I'll look at it again when she hits her second State of the Union address.

I kind of like things like roads, decent education for my kids, police/fire department/ambulance if I need them, vaccinations and the resultant lack of plague, social safety net so I don't starve in the street, and having things regulated so I know what I'm buying theoretically won't poison/electrocute/explode me. Lots of other things too, but you get the idea.

Obviously other folks may prefer a more adventuresome lifestyle. But not liking some aspects of government doesn't strike me as a reason to burn it all down.

You don't have a right to be served quickly. It goes as fast as it goes.
Even if you had it, it is not the kind of right you can threathen people with a deadly weapon to get it.

Even though hunting is outlawed within the national parks of Zimbabwe, ten men were illegally hunting for elephants last month within the park’s boundaries when they stumbled upon twenty adult Southwest African lions. The pride of lions were not exactly, you know, expecting human visitors, so they immediately attacked the intruders. The attack was so instantaneous that five of the ten men were killed, three severely injured, and two lightly injured. The animals were mostly unhurt. The men who survived the attack ran to a nearby village for medical help where they were promptly arrested. Ah, karma!

“The men were visibly traumatized by the attack,” said Commissioner-General Chihuri,“and after seeing their injuries and the remains of their dead comrades, I can see why. These guys were tough criminals carrying ak-47s, but they were literally shred to pieces and devoured by the lions. I have never seen an animal attack reach this level of violence, and I have seen a lot!”

Granted. Doesn't make it right. She does not (nor any of the people you mentioned) deserve to be considered some sort of folk hero. They were criminal scum.

Perhaps this belongs in the other opinions thread, but WT actual F. This thug is being "immortalized on social media and youTube"? Are you kidding me? This is so disgusting that I cannot even find words. Chalk this one up on the "What's wrong with our society" board.

I think I am going to step away from this. Nice and slow.

I think I posted something about this some time ago, a modified saiga, firing both rifle and shotgun rounds, pretty potent, really.

A statement by the CPD I heard on the radio flatly said gang members. Mostly reprisals for insults to each other. (Forget how he put it, but juvenile B.S. that normal people don't kill each other over was the gist of it.) He also said that a tiny number of repeat offenders was responsible for the vast majority of shootings in the city.

It's the most admissions of this being a social problem directly related to the gang violence in the city that I've seen come out of Chicago. Of course, they'll probably soon call (again) for gun bans in neighboring states, because they seem to be deluded into thinking that if they can control other states' people, that'll somehow solve the problems they have with a small population of their people.

So now the Trump campaign is now(more or less) being run by the former head of Fox News, the current head of Breitbart, and a former lobbyist/advisor for a Ukrainian puppet of Putin. Awesome.

It just hit me... Donald Trump's behavior toward his opponents has been the political equivalent of an Internet troll. Making harsh accusations often not supported by fact, then acting offended by and lashing out at anyone who calls him on it; or proclaiming them a joke after the fact, and scorning people who didn't "get it."

As in instructor, you need that coffee absolutely independent of what the students are feeling like.

If they are drag-a$$, you need it to pump energy into them via your lecture.

If they are on top of things, you need it to get your own CPU up to speed so you can answer questions and offer criticisms correctly.

Trump's remarks show how little he cares for the 2nd Amendment. I suspect that lack of consideration pretty much covers the span of the Constitution, Bill of Rights, and subsequent amendments.

This may well be just a matter of semantics, but...

I suppose. The problem is, I don't know if I wold really call her a a career Politician.  A political Spouse for Many years, but she only ran for office on her own what, 14 years ago??   Political, yes, but not an elected official or (though I could easily not be remembering all of her activities, as I live 2000 miles from Arkansas) a political appointee.

Though I dislike her, I do not fear her the way I fear her opponent.
