Re: Weapon always does maximum damage
How about 3 point skill levels only to increase damage (-1/2 possibly 3/4)? Every two gets you +1 body on a killing attack. then buy iup the Stun Mult....
I have those somewhere, I wont reveal to my players.
Untill it is too late....

Re: Converting MPH/KPH/KnPH to Game Scale
thanks for the info guys, Oruncrest has the correct answer as building from real world vehicles to game models is the need.
I guess I should have said that.

So what are the conversions for MPH/KPH/KnPH to Game Scale?
I thik I just need the rule if you post where it is unlikely I have the ref.

Re: Your PCs might be Underpowered if...

Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group...
Anotherskip- I'd love to hear that story..OK about two weeks before the campaign begun the Gm told us "hey i'm gonna run Paranoia."
Being the smart little cookie I am and having heard a bunch of rumors I prepare three character sheets. Well we were at a college and the local gaming club met every day usually for Spades/hearts whatever. I can be pretty annoying (even on accident, imagine that!) so deciding to strut his GM stuff he would kill a character of mine every time he felt like it. So the day of the game we sit down and start playing. Finally about half way through the game he looks at me and goes
GM-"how many times did i kill you?"
Me-"Eight"
GM-" OK, so you shouldn't be playing, you only have five clones at most."
Me-*Pulls out first character sheet and hands it over to the GM* "I'm on my second character Clone 3 of 6, I can do math you know."
GM-*Groans*

Re: Bad day to be a bad guy.
Russian Mafia Thug #1 took a shotgun blast to the vitals. He was wearing enough body armor to avoid taking Body damage, but he wasn't nearly as agile after that. Apparently it was hard for him to dodge bullets while clutching his crotch.I suppose I could have included that segment in my narrative, but the only quote was "OW !!"
On an unrelated topic, I need to spread rep around before I can give more to...

Either we need more funny people on this forum, or I need to start reading other threads on a regular basis.

Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group...
I only tried Paranoia once. I was unable to overcome my 'work with the party' date=' teamwork and cooperation are the keys to success, never backstab a PC' mindset.[/quote']The absolute reason I HATE and DESPISE that game.
I actually lost 8 Clones before the game began...*
*Yes I can explain. maybe later if you guys are nice

Re: What would your sidekick be named?
An honest-to-goodness kid sidekick' date=' like from the silver age? None of my PCs would encourage anything so irresponsible; they all would draw the line at a follower who was under the age of majority, or at least around their own age if they themselves were still underage.[/quote']I kinda have to take umbrage with this. I don't like the whole "think of the CHILLLDREN" argument. My in game child has wings, the psychic ability to control fire, phasing and inhuman speed and endurance. She's allready a target (she's RELATED to me) it was too late at conception to 'protect her' or 'keep her out of harms way'.
for names: at 6-11 she was Minime (yes, she liked that character)
12+ she The Unknown'.
i would have a chance with keeping a Billy (from the incredibles) type character away until he grows out of it. My own kid with the powerset listed above? Not a chance (unless I confined her to an alternate dimension and then wouldn't that be more abusive than the so called 'child endangerment'?).
Besides have you Seen how dangerous school is? (re: Sky High, PS 238 etc...).
I'll take my chances homeschooling her!!! thankyouverymuch

Re: Power Build: Super Archery
Buy the Bow part as a Naked Advantage with OAf limitation.
-
Re: Power Build: Super Archery
Here's how i did it:
1. Charges
2. Trigger varible (+1/2)
prelist the triggering conditions
Arrow A goes off
Arrow b has a trigger to goes simultainously with arrow A
Arrow C has a trigger to goes simultainously with arrow A or B
Arrow D has a trigger to goes simultainously with arrow A or b or C...
Limited to four but yeah when you want all the arrows to go off when you want them to go Foom trigger seems to be the solution.

Re: Super villain contest
Stalker, he was (in 4th at least ) pretty darn dangerous.

Re: Sword MA and question.
really depends upon your POV.
If you want to be SERIOUS about martial arts yeah 20-50 points isn't too silly.
If you want to have other things then go for 15-20+

Re: Muskateer
IIRC there is a brawling variant of Boxes francais Savat called Boxes francais Soldat (Boxing soldier) that could be useful for groups.
i advocate buying basic Stealth, Shadowing And Concealment for any adventurer. it gives the players something to do other than charge in blindly.

Re: Your PCs might be Underpowered if...
Here's one: a heroic version of Teleios. And I don't mean "tone down the characteristics and you can have an approximation"' date=' either. I mean "the Perfect Man", [i']as defined by the CU as written[/i],* as a PC. The characteristics alone cost 318 points, not counting skills, etc. Even dropping the VPP, it's still a 500+ point character that is otherwise generally (not perfectly) compatible with the Standard Superhero power level.Minor tweaks could make the character a better fit for the power level, but reducing the character to 350 points would violate concept. Why would this be an acceptable hero? One example should suffice: Michael Holt, aka Mr Terrific, in the current incarnation of the JSA. While you might be able to do a "Mr Terrific-ish" character on 350 points, that charcter would not have the relative standing in the CU that Mr Terrific had in the DCU at his introduction (gaming equivalent: at the beginning of the game campaign). While the JSA is arguably not at the Standard Superhero power level overall, Mr. Terrific could easily fit that power level in the CU, but not the starting point total for that power level, unless his abilities were diluted in breadth and/or (relative to the power level) depth.
VPP: Aid Characteristics low dice, high max, LOOOOOOOOOng Duration SFX: "Terrific Training"
howz about dat?

Re: Fallen Avenger
Demonic Posessed Avenger secretly supplying clues to his 'opponents'?
Brimstone Avenger!

Can you use Skill levels to increase the Body 'rolled' on an entangle similar to increasing the damage done by Killing attacks?

Re: Rockstar
Those contract weirdness notes are in there for a reason.
If the stadium operators cant be bothered to read and follow the contract they are signing they probably Won't bother to make certain of things like:
making sure the stage can support all of the intruments and gear that is needed (thus bad things like a stage collapsing can occur) or that the ceiling supports are strong enough and some poor roadie falls to their death because the owner wasn't careful (Which of course the Media will blame on the Band and ot the owners...).
