I have played Champions since 1981 and Champions Now is nothing like what we played in 1st edition. It has some good stuff about superhero gaming. I realize it was an attempt to simplify etc. but HERO games is already simple if one reads the book I would point out that Crusader has always had 20 STR which 4D6

I much preferred 4th over 5th Dark Champions but one has to realize that Hudson City the Urban Abyss is a masterpiece of writing.

4th didn't kill the system, did it? I think 5th was the best in terms of support and modular aspects. Who cares if Bricks and DEX based characters got a break, at least we had hero games. DND changed their system a lot and pathfinder came in and cleaned their clock. They are going back to simple now with DND next.
