  4. Re: ideas/name for my character? Vibro-Man.
  5. Re: What were: the best Marvel titles of the 80's? Yeah, but the XDM UAA was only against Wraiths (I think). So not so munckiny after all.
  6. Re: Clinging, UAA How about Clinging, UAA, Damage Shield?
  7. Re: Panspermia, anyone? Why? If the universe has always (that is, for an infinite amount of time) existed in more or less the same form it has now, then talking about the beginning of stuff is kind of moot. (I am not endorsing this hypothesis. In fact, I think it's empirically highly unlikely.)

  9. Re: Panspermia, anyone? Ya know, if some version of the Steady State theory is true, this isn't a problem, since life could have always existed.

  11. Re: Panspermia, anyone? Whatever happened to that "Martian microbe fossils found in meteorite" story about 10 years ago?
  12. Re: Panspermia, anyone? It's one of those things that SHOULD be true.
  13. Re: What were: the best Marvel titles of the 80's? According to Wiki, Rom is more-or-less beyond their clutches: "As Marvel Comics no longer possesses the rights to Rom, the character may not make a reappearance in his armored form." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rom_the_Spaceknight I've tried making Rom clones -- can't do it at 350 points. It's that damn full Life Support...
  14. Re: Panspermia, anyone? I have a vague idea I picked up from somewhere that dormant fungus spores can "survive" interplanetary conditions. Don't know if it's true or not.
  15. Re: Post-apocalyptic wargaming terrain I'm pretty sure it's Warhammer 40000.
  16. Re: WWYCD: King Arthur's back I was going to write up some lyrics for "King Arthur's Back" as done by Sir Mixalot, but just don't have the energy.
  17. Re: What were: the best Marvel titles of the 80's? Yeah, Rom. I loved them Dire Wraiths.
  18. Re: The Fortress of Solitude Repped for Super-Theology!
  19. Re: The Fortress of Solitude Sure it is. The giant key :rofl:so heavy that only Superman can lift it is disguised as an airplane direction marker. (How does one write up that key?) PS. I love how meteors are constantly falling from the sky in these comics, clipping airplane wings and falling into volcanoes and suchlike. It must be pretty dangerous. Ah, Superman.
  20. Re: The Fortress of Solitude A VPP, only for Followers?
  21. Re: Defenders of Ireland The resurrected giant, the Earth God, Finnegan. He sleeps, but his dream form walks the land. His consort, mistress of the waters, Anna Livia Plurabelle.

  23. The bookstore that just opened up in my neighborhood just rocks. Not only does it have all the books in Russian you could possibly want, it also has a section in English that has a surprisingly big comics section (o joy, o joy). So I picked up a compilation of 1950s Superman comics. And so... The Fortress of Solitude. Superman's clubhouse of one at the North Pole. The Base to End All Bases. How many points would this baby cost? It has everything. Just Superman's shrine to himself, the trophy room, would cost like a billion points. Has anybody ever tried to even speculate on, e.g., the DEF of this monster? And all its followers, the Superman robots -- good lord, are they all as badass as Supes himself?
