  3. Re: Characters: The Time Machine Tangential, but.... I don't recall the "kangaroo devolution" in the copy of Time Machine that I read. Is this from a chapter Doyle removed? Is there a more complete edition on the market?
  4. Re: Campaign: The Turakian Age Thanks for posting the account, and great kill on the two-headed giant.
  5. Re: Stargate Hero That's something I appreciate about the show, too. They're careful to make the universe "hang together," and they don't forget what's happened in the show's "past."
  6. Re: Buckaroo Banzai Lives! As Igor in Dork Tower would say: "IT MUST BE MINE!!!"
  7. Re: Campaign: The Turakian Age The three miniature blades Rogar tossed into the tree -- are those a type of magic item?
  8. Re: Stargate Hero I'm not skilled with Hero , but that looks pretty good to me. One question I have: Is his Tactics skill perhaps a bit low? Teal'c was a first prime, and I'd think he'd have a pretty good command of tactics. Then again, the Jaffa seem about as tactically sophisticated as the Russian Army of World War One.
  9. Re: [Compilation] "to Star HERO Conversions & Adaptations" Great list. One typo I noticed: "Cowboy Beebop" should be "Cowboy Bebop."
  10. Re: The Incredibles -- WITH SPOILERS Maybe. I tend more to think the camera cut away from the look on his face as he was about to.
  11. Re: The Incredibles -- WITH SPOILERS Finally saw the movie tonight. This is the part that saddens me. Disney's recent record has been, well, mediocre. I'd love to see Pixar do Incredibles sequels, but they don't seem to be in the cards, given the contract arrangements.
  12. Re: Campaign: The Turakian Age One of these days, if you have time, I'd like to see the stats for some of the chararacters, NPCs, and critters.
  13. Re: Campaign: Lomyrian Relic Hunters in Fahla Years ago, one of the players in my AD&D 1E game could not come up with a name for her wizard. She finally wrote down "TBA" for "To Be Announced." Well, she never decided on a name, so the players decided for her. Since she was an Elf, TBA became "T'ba," which actually wasn't half-bad.
  14. Re: Enterprise vs. Enterprise Picard would surrender to demonstrate the moral superiority of the future Federation.
  15. Re: No Humans? You and me both!
  16. Re: Campaign: The Turakian Age And now the cliffhanger.
  17. Re: Using Images to Change Environment? Ah, okay. I was missing the part about the special effect being the creation of light. The five-watt bulb of knowledge has just lit over my head. Thanks!
  18. Re: Using Images to Change Environment? This discussion has been interesting to me because, as a nearly-complete HERO newbie, some concepts have been hard to wrap my head around. Using Images to illuminate has been one of them. So, if I understand you correctly, you're saying that using Images does not create the "image of light" that then illuminates a darkened room, but instead creates an image of a room that appears illuminated. Doesn't that then require that the caster know what the room and its contents look like beforehand, in order to create the correct image? I can accept that, since it's in the rules and it's probably simpler than rewriting things, but it seems like ugly logic. (Which probably means I've misunderstood things. ) To create light, it seems that either CE or a minor transform would be better.
  19. Re: Campaign: The Turakian Age Bravo! It feels like a good old Sunday afternoon serial.
  20. Re: Campaign: The Turakian Age Thanks for posting the lastest installment. I was starting to go through withdrawals.
  21. Re: Campaign: The Turakian Age Ah, caught up at last. I hadn't read this thread since before GenCon -- my, they've been busy. My compliments on what sounds like a fun game and keep the reports coming!
