However if I understood you correctly Panpiper, I would just allow Chimaster to abort and Dive for Cover.

I see the primary use of the proposed Dilettante talent as a boost for someone with Cramming, which effectively allows you to get better than 8- on any skill in a short time, which sort of circumvents one of the primary restrictions on Cramming.  I would consider allowing it for some characters (like a mentalist that can absorb skills), but probably not for a heroic level campaign.

    Hmmm...for a Talent...

How about Cat-footed?  Analogous to Double Jointed, but it's related to exceptional balance control.

Taciturn...your face and body have few, if any, tells, making reading you more difficult.  Generally applies a penalty to interaction skills being attempted against you.  Probably 2 points.

    So, I have a plan!
For me and my brain, the original Champions Attack equation and explanation of the Attack equation is more intuitive than that in in later editions, so I'm going to stick with the original. Thanks, all.

Crusty reacted to Lee in Str as Power with Continuing Charges
I'd say that the STR increase granted by the charge(s) does not cost END to use, but the base STR still costs END. So, if you have a 10 STR and a power that gives you +40 STR on continuing charges, you could use 50 STR where the +40 costs 0 END (because of the charges) and 2 (or 1 I don't remember) END for the base 10 STR.

I’ve been playing RPGs since 1982. Boot Hill 2e to be exact

I’ve played everything from Rifts, Aftermath!, Boot Hill, Top Secret, Traveller, Rolemaster and a bunch of others back in the day, but have stuck with Hero since the 4e Big Blue Book

I’m a big fan of Champions Complete, which I think is the best Supers game available today (Thanks Derek Heimforth!)

GrailKnight covered it well but I’d also make you pay points for it, with a steep limitation, if you did it a lot
Some of these guys have been reading the books or playing the game for a long time. Opinions might be pointed. Coming at it new doesn’t mean you’re wrong, just that you’re learning.
