  1. Ladies and gentlemen, may I present the Bishop of Bath & Wales...
  2. Q: The band is just fantastic, that is really what I think. Oh by the way, which one's Pink? A: No, your other other left...
  3. Q: What's the effect of Jurassic brand Viagra? A: That's a spicy meatball!
  4. Q: So what was Strom Thurman's secret to longevity? A: It's got bite!
  5. My quote comes from my Sunday D&D group... made by me acutally. Hell, I even got applause for it because it fit. Note: You would have needed to have seen episodes from the second series of Coupling... the British version, not the American attempt. Situation: Epic level characters, running about this dungeon, sort of, trying to get items to defeat the big bad guy at the end of it. Well, we're trying to make a deal to get these to tribes of shapechangers to allow us to draw down their moon, which will have the item we need. One of the conditions was that one of the werewolves wanted to eat the leg of a half-elf while the victim was still alive. Well, the only half-elf in the party was our wizard-rogue. We figured out a way we could do this so he wouldn't feel any pain, but he was still very apprehensive about it. So, jokester that I am in real life, I adopted the proper accent, and said: "We have the key to getting the item... but you have too many legs!" (Quoted from an episode of Coupling, as stated earlier. Good show, mind you.)
  6. Q: Sergeant, what's your opinion on the IEDs you've found built by the Bagel Bomber? A: A cardboard tube, gel-ignite, and an "I Like Ike" campaign pin.
  7. Q: Dude, what did you see after taking the brown acid? A: Number nine... number nine... number nine...
  8. Q: Where's ol' Ballsniffer these days? A: It's round on the outside, but sort of soft in the middle.
  9. Q: Doctor, now that you've looked at his G/I x-rays, what are you doing to alleviate his blockage? A: Once you pop you just can't stop.
  10. Q: Ooooo, man, got anythign to cure this massive hangover? A: Avoid the green ones... they're not ripe yet.
  11. Q: Yes, you, the bouncy one with the "S" on your... erm, how would you describe 'em, your shirt, and you again? A: A 55-gallon drum of butterscotch pudding, five tennis rackets, and a year's supply of Rice-a-Roni, the San Francisco Treat.
  12. Q: And how could you tell that her skirt was way too short? A: Just close your eyes, pinch your nose, toss it down your throat, and think of England...
  13. I think you left out "the Buzz," where each Immortal can sense one another... Detect Immortal, Sense... IDHTBIFOM, but I do know that it's not Discriminatory...
  14. Actually, I haven't found too much fault with such shows as Tales of the Gun or even Mail Call. I like MC quite a bit, to be honest. I find the Gunny entertaining and informative at the same time. Haven't found any big complaints about that show as of yet.
  15. Okay, I'm not sure if this has been asked before, and I could be reading a lot of this wrong, I'll cop to that if I am... I've been going through the racial and occupation packages in Fantasy Hero, and I've come across something concerning added Skill Levels for certain skills with modifiers. Example, from the Dwarf package, Knowledge of Stone: +3 to Concealment, Only to Detect Hidden/Concealed/Cunning Stonework (-1). This addition also has a KS skill, and costs 5 points. Taking away the KS leaves 3 points. Since the lowest level of Skill Levels you can buy and put a limitation on it is the 3-point level, shouldn't this have a base cost of 9 and a real cost of 4 or 5 (depending on how you would round it), and therefore have it cost 6 or 7 points for the addition and not 5 points? Seems to me like it's being purchased at the 2-point level, and getting modified, which goes against what the FReD states. Am I reading something wrong, or is there a goof in the maths somewhere? Thanks.
  16. 1) Steve, is there any word on the current status of the Grimoire? Inquiring minds want to know! 2) Is there going to be a module for Hero Designer for FH? Thanks!
  17. This is starting to remind me of a sketch on the syndicated Bob and Tom morning radio show... Shirtless Girl! Riding around on her Hooter Scooter! "Don't touch those..."
  18. I loved Millennium's End as well. I remember running an ME campaign nearly ten years ago, after the second edition for it came out. I have all the books, I think... I'd love to use the system for something. Hell, I was even working on a system to use it for Morrow Project! It's such a good system... You can probably find the books for sale somewhere... do a google search. If anyone is in the Chantilly VA area, check out Game Parlour. I think I saw some material for it there last time I was there, which was around Memorial Day.
  19. There's also a pretty good book series by Rick Shelley... namely the Dirigent Mercenary Corps . Book titles are: Officer Cadet Lieutenant Captain Major Lieutenant Colonel Colonel He's also written another series called Spec Ops Squad, but I haven't read any of that one as of yet.
  20. How long will the playtest period be, and how long will the manuscript be available?
  21. Just watched that movie on one of the Cinemax channels yesterday afternoon. Yes, very 80s in style... however, who the hell were the Morrow Project-type people in the jumpsuits? Seems to me like that plot element was thrown in last minute... Not a movie I'd recommend to anyone, really. However, their portrayal of the MAC10 Ingrams was right on the money -- spray for a second, reload.
  22. The title of the Red Dwarf ep was Back to Reality , from series V. (If you get the videotapes, the episode is actually supposed to be the last one of the series, not the first.) However, the "reality" was an illusion brought on by a toxin in the ink of a Suicide Squid.
  23. Nope, that's not the book... Found one of the series that I'm talking about. It's The Guardians, by Richard Austin. The back blurb reads like this: Now granted, this series was published in the mid to late 80's, so you can guess as to how good it would be.
  24. My suggestions Books, War: Wingman by Mack Maloney (book series); post-war where the US lost and was broken up into different areas. Details a new war for independence. Mind candy in a lot of respects, and it did get a little silly in the last 2-3 books. The Guardians, not sure on the author (series); another post-war book with a group of soldiers wandering about, rebuilding America, or so I'm assuming. I have a couple of the books, but haven't read them as yet. Just a couple of suggestions.
  25. I'd like to check out that website... however, it seems to be down. The doman name is just gone. You might want to check on that.
