  1. Well, I have one for my online game. It's Fudge Supers, and it's in my .sig.
  2. Re: Confusion That could just be regular EB, Stun Only, only to Stun. Depending on your campaign I'd probably give that at least -3/4. Make it NND if you need to.
  3. They'll probably say it's great, because it is. Allowing for the travesty that is GURPS Supers 1st edition, of course.
  4. It has way less flight than that. It didn't acheive it's current velocity under it's own power -- it only has a little flight so it can turn. Now, work out the throwing strength of the rocket that launched it...
  5. I love GURPS, and for a long time in the Dark Ages I played it probably on a par with Hero (I especially liked it for non-super powered things, and I used GURPS Wild Cards quite a bit). With the resurgence of Hero 5th, I still follow GURPS, but I'm doing more of my gaming in Hero. GURPS has got way more support, but I think the Hero system suits me better, and it's catching up fast. Once I realized I didn't have to write up full balanced character sheets for every villager the PCs might possibly encounter, Hero worked a lot better for me. Pyramid is absolutely great, though.
  6. There was a 4th edition Star Hero?!? That above description sure matches the standalone (as in, came with all the rules and had its own alien power system) 1st edition Star Hero. I hadn't heard there was one for 4th...
  7. Re: opinions of hero products I have a bit of the Shadow World stuff -- it's neat, but it's very heavily geared towards Rolemaster, with mostly just basic stat blocks for FH stuff. I can't remember if it was first or 2nd edition FH, but since it didn't have any spells for everyone, it probably doesn't make much difference. Worth looking at if you don't mind a little conversion. Some of the work is done for you, but not much. The world and setting are interesting, though, so it could be worth picking up just for that. Is it still available?
  8. Looks like I only need Bestiary, then (and Star Hero, and Fantasy Hero, and maybe Ninja Hero then even though I don't really play Ninja games and then the Resource Kit and then CKC or whatever it's called and then the Champions Genre book and then Fantasy Hero and the Kandris Seal and the Terran Empire book and...
  9. For people who have them both, how would you rate the 4th edition vs. 5th edition versions of: The Ultimate Martial Artist? Bestiary? Ninja Hero? Or any other books. I really like the 5th edition main rule book and I'm really looking forward to picking up Star Hero, but I seem to be doing okay with 4th ed versions of all of the above. (Note: I seem to recall reading that NH is a campaign setting rather than just a 5th edition version of the other one -- I guess I just need comparisons of the setting material, then.)
  10. Does anyone have any guidelines for a good Rule of X for Hero? This is spurred by a discussion on Pyramid -- one of the posters was coming from Fuzion and wondering if there was anything similar for Hero 5th. I used to have a GM that did something like it and I was curious as to what people here do to make sure their combats are balanced. Heroic and/or super-heroic.
  11. I'd pay extra for that, but I could see how it might not be a good idea...
  12. That would be cool, but I'd rather save $10 or whatever it would be. My 4th edition one only lost the back cover.
