I remember when they said Michael Keaton wouldn’t make a good Batman. I’ll give him a chance.

I never objected to Michael Keaton, even though I thought it was a strange choice.  It's Tim Burton I questioned.

  2. I've always considered Autofire to be an inefficient mode of attack because of the reduction of OCV.  This makes it problematic in using it as a machine gun which in ground combat as an area denial weapon.  Here is a write up for a machine gun using Area Effect, the special effect is so many bullets are being fired anyone in a certain area will be hit multiple time.

    RKA  1d6=1, AE  'r (+1), Autofire [2-3 Shots] (+1/4), [32c] (+1/4), OAF: Heavy Machine Gun (-1)

    Cost 50 Points

This is a low cost design and meant for NPC soldiers who would be using it on other NPC built on 100 Points or less.

So, pretty much typecasting for Raquel, as she pretty much embodied Lust for an entire generation, mine included.

I liked both versions and thought they were both well done.

Best line.   "Suicide is against the law.  In less enlightened times they would have hung you for it."

I maintain that if anyone from the Next Generation were to appear on Picard, it should be his greatest adversary--Q.  Perhaps they're saving him for Season 2.

Another cameo idea--by all rights, Jake Sisko should have been the one to interview Picard.  I'd like to think it would have ended better.

So androids are now called "Synthetics."  Wouldn't they prefer the term "Artificial Person?"

I wish I could figure out what the Romulans are up to.  I always figured they never needed to emulate other races--and here they are, it seems, trying to emulate the Borg.  What's the big idea?

All the above is just nitpickery with a smattering of facetiousness.  To my mind this is a really great show, and I'm glad I subscribed to CBS All Access to get it.  I will continue to watch.

They are kind of ripping off the Silicates and the Artificial Intelligence War from Space Above and Beyond.

  5. Three good actresses trapped in a plot so contrived and convoluted it could pass for an X-Men movie.  It suffers from the same time travel cheating that doomed Enterprise instead of telling an organic story about what would have happened in the new time line 20 years after Oliver Queen's death.  Why is Dinah Drake in 2040?  How does Laurel Lance know what's going to happen in 2041?  Why is Mia Queen dating an alternate reality version of a psychopath?  Are we going to stick around to find out?   Do we care?

    No.
