Not being willing to kill - even in the most obvious self-defense situation - is choosing to go extinct.

When inherently peaceful people take this stance they offer the world on a silver platter to violent invaders.

Even Non-Aggression Principle followers will defend themselves.

"We may have both started off as angels but you are fallen."

46 years ago, Edgar Winter Group’s “Frankenstein” came to life on the Billboard Hot 100, reaching No. 1 for a week. It’s one of only 25 instrumental singles to top the pop charts.

Fortunately I grew up watching some British comedy so I'm enjoying the style of humor more than I suspect many will.

I'm enjoying it.  My wife is looking at me like I'm insane.

Add that to the - Watch after the wife and kiddo go to sleep - pile.

Here's another one from a couple of years later.  This character is still going strong, and although his powers have had an overhaul with each new version, he's still in the same costume!  You just don't mess with a good design.

I dug out my very first character sheet, from 1982.  My forum avatar is a City of Heroes version of this character.

1888 - The first publication of Ernest L. Thayer’s poem Casey at the Bat appears in the San Francisco Examiner. The work is originally published under the pen name ‘Phin’, because the poet feels embarrassed by what he considers to be bad verse and decides to keep his identity a secret, until others come forward to claim the work to be their own.

1953 - Congress cites the research of New York City librarian Robert Henderson in proving that Alexander Cartwright founded baseball and not Abner Doubleday. His 1947 book Bat, Ball and Bishop documents Cartwright’s contributions to the origins of the game of baseball.

HERO Designer is a GMs dream.  You can construct characters for your players very quickly and build out your other NPCs at a greatly enhanced pace.

I believe a lot of people were thrilled by Leto being cast as Joker, IIRC, and I can't stand his version.

I'm one if the people that thought Affleck's Batman was very well done.  If they ever found a team to actually make a Batman movie again, I'd like to see him again.

But I guess that possibility is as remote as them ever making a Superman movie about the actual character.

The only over-reacting I recall is when Keaton was cast.

Funny you mention Affleck, Christopher. I've talked to several people that actually thought he got Bruce/Batman right. Mostly he suffered from the writing.

Did you see Iron Man 3? Much of that film shows how deeply Tony was haunted by the events of the Chitauri invasion.

Thanos' new plan was to kill everyone in the universe, and start over. Tony's action prevented that. Seems like he used appropriate force in the situation, at great cost to himself.

The Thanos that Tony snapped out of existence was from a bifurcated reality formed when one of the stones was removed (and when the Nebulas went all quantum-entangled), and not the Thanos that performed the snap (who died when Thor decapitated him). Likewise, the Gamora that came through isn't the same Gamora who was sacrificed by Thanos to receive the Soul stone, but one from the other "trouser leg of time", because of Quantum.

I never bothered to start. Teen angst isn’t what I’m looking for in my superhero entertainment, and that’s what the ads for this show conveyed to me. Same thing with the Runaways.
