Cancer
Well, all of Foreigner's songs are about having sex (or complaining about not having it) so they're easy to distinguish. If there's violins then it's Kansas. I have three Styx disks (Equinox, Pieces of Eight and The Grand Illusion) and don't really see a need to have more (actually I don't see a need for more than two, but I married into one of the above three and I'm not going to complain). Pariah
I always thought Toto and Kansas should tour together.
Pariah
If there's violins then it's Kansas. Ironically, one of Kansas' two signature songs, "Carry On Wayward Son", features no violins whatsoever.
Old Man
Ha, I always thought that was a Foreigner song.
L. Marcus
Did they perhaps do a cover?

Pariah
I know Rush and Journey are still recording and touring.
Bazza
I think Pink Floyd got back together...in some capacity. Could be a lawsuit involved too.
Bazza
From wikipedia: In the near future, the earth is no longer able to sustain humanity. Crops are routinely ravaged by blight,[5] dust storms scour the land, and mankind has regressed to an agrarian society. Pass.
L. Marcus
Not an option, Librarian Boy! 'twas a very impressive movie, but Inception was better.

L. Marcus
I can reveal that Interstellar does end on a very hopeful note.
Cancer
Guess I'll have to go see that in my copious free time.
L. Marcus
Kip Thorne was an executive producer and consultant. He apparently kept a very tight rein on the physics.
Cancer
Thorne is a big wheel in general relativity. But he is also getting up there in years. So he probably didn't insist on full rigor for some things, because in others he got some new and cool stuff.
L. Marcus
He fought and won with the director over a sub-plot, according to scuttlebutt. And I didn't find anything too unrealistic -- even if SSTO space planes abounded, and planets surviving at the depth of a gravity well that gave a time dilation of one to 60,000 (but it was a supermassive black hole, so the tidal forces might have been mild enough, I dunno). I loved the robots, too.

L. Marcus
... They looked more like the monolith from 2001 than a gyndroid. One would have to have a very severe form of some kind of tech fetish to turn on on those.

Cancer
Change mental gears, and time to think about the coming assault in the campaign I'm running. Why does the heavy infantry fail?
