Cancer
Unusual, in that we have a community of Swedish heritage folks here, enough so that relevant merchandise is relatively easy to find on the shelves of some local stores. Not a typical thing in the western half of the US.
L. Marcus
Swedes like the Mid-west. There are mosquitoes there, right?
Cancer
Yes. Here we have fjords. Some mosquitos, but not an overwhelming number.

Cancer
... That statement will confuse most USers greatly, as here, the two nouns you use are synonyms.

Bazza
Corn is a maize zing.
Cancer
My understanding is that on the Old World sense, maize is a proper subset of corn, which includes barley, rye, and some other cereals. That use of the word stems from at least the Roman era, but I don't have a clear picture of what "corn" in the old Old World sense means in specifics. Cancer
The comment stream on the NASA JPL live YouTube comments might be made more intelligible if they shuffled all the comments in as they arrived, randomized the character orders, and barfed out the result after rot13-ing it all. Old Man
I watched it without sound. I saw a bunch of people staring intently at screens, occasionally smiling or giving a high five, until everyone stood up and cheered in silence. But Insight stuck the landing; that's all that matters.
