Bazza
Re: Musings on Random Musings Scorpions are known for that? I would think of "Rock you like a Hurricane" perhaps. Enforcer84
Re: Musings on Random Musings "Applies only to sane people" is such a useful phrase. I thought it said "Apples only to sane people".
Enforcer84
Re: Musings on Random Musings Ah' date=' that explains it. (actually, I don't think I know Winds of Change)[/quote'] I do. I also liked Leaving You that has a tight chorus. And since Lord Morham has opened my eyes to some more I have to say that Arizona and Someday is now are kick ass songs. death tribble
Re: Musings on Random Musings In the above post I misread Applies as Apples. Therefore Apples only to sane people. The fruit and the computer that is.
Cancer
Re: Musings on Random Musings I am so re-addictged to Diablo II all over again' date=' I went out and bought a second copy of the game so I can run it on my laptop [i']and[/i] desktop. Why? So I can not only have the monsters be tougher and worth more EXP, but to make it easier to trade between my characters. Yup. We have a two-box 'net at home, used more or less exclusively for DII. Those set items mean much more when you can swap them around and get a character with a full set. AliceTheOwl
Re: Musings on Random Musings . . . It's just a phase -- J-Pop can't be enjoyed for a longer period. AliceTheOwl
Re: Musings on Random Musings I wouldn't say THAT . . . Nah, I like some stuff, but mostly, I can take it or leave it. I like Yoko Kanno's stuff, but I can only take so much Morning Musume, as a for-instance.

Cancer
Re: Musings on Random Musings I like sushi and sake. Oh, and I like reading classical haiku. Cancer
Re: Musings on Random Musings I know a lot of people who say that about the fish, so I won't argue with you there. But why is fermented rice worse than fermented anything else?
L. Marcus
Re: Musings on Random Musings Not worse -- just the same. I can't drink alcohol. Well, I can, but I dislike it intensely. Except Guinness. But I felt sated after half a pint.

archermoo
Re: Musings on Random Musings The sake I've tasted was pretty vile. Maybe I'm just not trying the right kind . . . Well, it certainly matters what kind you try. Generally the stuff they serve in restaurants hot is served that way because you don't taste it as much if you swallow it hot and fast. Unfortunately I can't really suggest any really good ones, because as much as I like sake, I generally "choose" one by asking the establishment I'm in to pour me something good that is meant to be served chilled. The unfiltered style is my favourite.
AliceTheOwl
Re: Musings on Random Musings That's probably my mistake, right there. I've never had any at a restaurant. I buy it at the store, toss it into the fridge to keep, then warm it up.
SatinKitty
Re: Musings on Random Musings It's snowing on Enforcer84 ! It got up to 60 here today. But as it is very cold on the West Coast, that means it will probably cool off here in 4 days or so.

My Mom was delighted in the 70s when they told us to keep our homes, offices and schools at 65 in the Winter. My Mom liked it even colder and I froze to death for years every Winter as she accomodated her Hot Flashes. She still keeps it so cold, my Dad sometimes complains that it's going to start snowing in there, especially since she turns it down even further at night. I got out of there in 1986 and my apartment is at 76.
