After more than a month of battling an ear semi-infection (mostly fluid), it seems clear. The downside is that I now have about a 5% hearing loss due to tinnitus. Over three years in a band and no problems, but one long-ass cold screws me up (well, the gigs during probably didn't help).

 

Now I gotta get $200 filters for the ears or seriously consider leaving the band. Bleh.

I did find it amusing, however, that on one sojourn to California, I had to rent a car to get home, and learned after the fact that the Buick Skylark (in this powder blue shade) is apparently the unmarked cop car of California. It explained why I could do 90 the whole from Indio, California, to Phoenix, Arizona, and people were getting out of my way.

 

I've also talked my way out of almost every traffic ticket I've ever gotten, so why should I be afraid of you, MB?
