MitchellS
Re: Millennium City There's the Millennium City 8: Commando Rubberbando, El Aquijon, Lady Liberty, Megaera, Psiphon, Raaktor, Stalker, and Steadfast. There's the Ravenswood Cadets: Chain Lightning, Flicker, Impact, Putty, and Trance. The Government's: Technique and Kodiak from the FBI and Silver Avenger Sanchez. As far as independents there's: Binary Man, Cavalier, and Hydro. I don't believe Hardpoint is really part of MC. He's just a rewrite of Defender for Sidekick. As far as MC dedicated villains you have: PSI, Lodestone, Thorn, and Wayland Talos.

Teen Champions' date=' released today at Gen Con. [/quote'] Sweet! And thanks again. Now I'll have to see about getting it soon, instead of waiting. Just how many characters does it have, BTW? Chuckg
Re: Millennium City Sweet! And thanks again. Now I'll have to see about getting it soon' date=' instead of waiting. Just how many characters does it have, BTW? And is it made to tie in with the CU as well as homebrew campaigns? [/quote'] re: Teen Champs... From what I've heard from a friend who has a copy, it has a chapter on the general running of teen-oriented campaigns, then a chapter detailing Ravenswood Academy in Millennium City (complete with brief character outlines for the entire faculty, and stats for the members of 'Homeroom Alpha', the senior class.) The next chapter has several other groups of teen heroes, all in the 'default' CU. First up are 'The Motor City Defenders', a group of teen heroes from the other side of the tracks, of which Cantrip (who is the Teen Champs cover art) is a member. They're the "self-taught amateurs" teen heroes, as opposed to the "pampered rich kids" of Homeroom Alpha... and yes, the two groups have a rivalry, and refer to each other like that all the time. Next up is 'Nova', a small group of outcast super-teens, all of them wanted (or at least /feeling/ wanted) and/or alienated from society in other ways. These kids are the angsty, fugitive-from-the-law, outlaw anti-hero lot. Then there's Generation VIPER, Viper's equivalent to Homeroom Alpha, and their primary nemesis. Most of them are the children of VIPER agents... given how many people are in VIPER, that's a large enough population that their children would produce a few mutants... especially if you cheat by putting mutagens in the Nest food supplies. MitchellS
Re: Millennium City Thanks. Now I'll have to see what it would cost to get their stats (in case I ever use them; and I'd like to see some NPC heroes to go with the tons of villains Champs has). You can purchase the issue for $5.00, or get it as part of a 10-issue subscription for $30.00. If you buy the $30.00 subscription you get access to the playtest manuscripts as well. Sounds about right; though maybe they're just heroes who haven't gotten the semi-legal law officer status most of the MC heroes have? It's very possible they're not sanctioned. Sai, lives very close to the edge though. Sweet! And thanks again. Now I'll have to see about getting it soon, instead of waiting. Just how many characters does it have, BTW? And is it made to tie in with the CU as well as homebrew campaigns? Just to add to what Chuck stated, it looks like 14-15 teen superheroes and 14-15 teenish villains. Most are written to tie-in with the CU but can be easily used as homebrew characters. True enough, though I wonder: if most of the heroes are going to be in either MC, NYC, or LA, what will the Memphis or Pittsburgh cops do when the Ultimates stroll off with the contents of First National? There's an older pdf in the free stuff section called CU-Supers. It lists all the known superheroes and what cities they are based in. It hasn't been updated in a while but I still find it useful. There are several superhero teams in the CU listed there, as well as several independents. I don't know about Memphis or Pittsburgh but I know Baltimore is covered. fredrik_nilsson
Re: Millennium City Maybe I should add the source (where the info is)? Just as you've figured out, those that I've listed as vigilantes are Independet Heroes that are wanted by the law. Should I remove that title? Just as you've figured out, those that I've listed as vigilantes are Independet Heroes that are wanted by the law. Should I remove that title? It might not hurt to include the source material in the listings. That way people can see what they need to buy. I don't think you need to remove the vigilante category. It makes sense. Nice list, btw!
fredrik_nilsson
Re: Millennium City Now you've got me started. I shall take a look in the books I have at home, and then I'll return (hopefully with an improved list). We should come up with a list of abbreviations, like: GBG = The Genre By Genre Document (or 5ER) MC = Millennium City What do you think of listing all characters in the following format: Name (sourcebook): short description (just a few words) For example: Billy Burleson (GBG): The hero Taurus' little brother
Blackjack
Re: Millennium City OK, I have a question. There is a recurring picure of a meta throughout the Champions sourcebooks who I have yet to identify. She's a female character in a white bodysuit with a cape whose only apparent power is Flight. Specifically, she is pictured one pages 22, 50, and 135 in _Millenium City_ and page 158 in Champions. As often as she shows up, she must be a significant character at least in Millenium City, so who is she? Thanks!

No offense towards Storn, but he has done generic supers before (like the CU cover) instead of using the existing ones. There's another inconsistency in the Millennium City art too. Look at Mr. X (p.12) and Shadowboxer (p.17) in the beginning of the book, and compare them to the end of the book (p.135).

Most of them, as you'd expect, would be "generic" characters. Still, when one recurs that often, I'm inclined to believe there's a character out there somewhere to match. Of course, I could be wrong, or maybe she just hasn't been published yet. I was just curious... There's another inconsistency in the Millennium City art too. Look at Mr. X (p.12) and Shadowboxer (p.17) in the beginning of the book' date=' and compare them to the end of the book (p.135).[/quote'] Yes, I noticed that. I also noticed that the numbers on the Millenium city map on page 23 sometimes don't match the location descriptions given in the text, and that there are several numbered locations without an entry in the key. The key stops at 39, but there are 49 numbers on the map. Please, don't think I'm criticizing the book itself, though. I think it's great! 8.5 out of 10.
