I once thought about going to a Chinese restaurant and asking for a glass of water. "You know, AGUA!"

 

The reaction would almost be worth getting my butt kicked.

Hard boiled detectives, when entering a bar, never order beer. Just Whiskey.

 

Sometimes, if it's at that point when you have to tell "the story so far", you may get to drink that whiskey. If it's not that time, then some mook with a gun will take you to meet an important person and the whiskey is left on the bar for the bar lush to throw back.

Sometimes, if it's at that point when you have to tell "the story so far", you may get to drink that whiskey. If it's not that time, then some mook with a gun will take you to meet an important person and the whiskey is left on the bar for the bar lush to throw back.

However, sometimes they keep a pretty good bottle of Rye in their pocket.;)
