Dust Raven
As some of you know, I enjoy writing song parodies, particularly about gaming. I've written quite a few over the years, several of which I've posted to these boards (and their previous incarnations). I've just got my own website up and figured I'd compile all of them. At the moment, I've got the five I've written about the Hero System specifically (or that I first posted on these boards) up and figured I'd post a link for anyone who's interested in checking them out. http://www.tlo3t.net/herosystem/documents/parodies.html Enjoy! BNakagawa
Re: Song Parodies The old song "just a gigolo" had the chorus which I used to sing when I was playing a character with unreliable resistant defenses (and not much even when the activation roll was made) that went: IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII aint got no BOOOOOOOOOOOOOdyyyy... (no body) etc.
SCUBA Hero
Re: Song Parodies Bravo! Dust Raven, You have my permission to post any filks I've done on the Hero boards, as long as you attribute them to Mark "SCUBA Hero" Ewbank.
Narratio
Re: Song Parodies Encore! Very nice indeed. There was a guy in our group (mid 80's, 1st & 2nd Edition gaming) who did similar, but he only used Alice Cooper tunes, as a lot of A.C's album tunes were easy to modify - I Love America, Welcome to My Nightmare (how he played with that!) and Only Women Bleed being his most used bases. Dust Raven
Re: Song Parodies Thanks all! I'm suppose to have two more, but I haven't made the time to sit down and write them. Both of them are to songs by Click Five. I was inspired when I got their first album but have to yet to do anything with them. And, SCUBA, I'll be happy to upload any of your filks. If you can provide a link to ones already up I can have them up in a few days, otherwise you can email them to me.
