Enforcer84
So I have a couple of Eternals in my write up future and was looking at setting up a template, package deal, or Prefab for them in HD... looking over the Marvel Wiki, my bare minimum abilities are: Superhuman Strength Invulnerable/Immortal Flight Energy Control Creation of the Unimind The energy control is the major variable; some choose to enhance their mental powers and become lightbrick/Mentalists, some chose to enhance their energy emission, some chose to emphasize matter manipulation....the list goes on...but the following seems to be the "at least an eternal can do this..." Cost Powers END Eternal Physiology 40 Eternal: Life Support (Eating: Character does not eat; Immunity All terrestrial poisons; Immunity: All terrestrial diseases; Longevity: Immortal; Safe in High Pressure; Safe in High Radiation; Safe in Intense Cold; Safe in Intense Heat; Safe in Low Pressure/Vacuum; Self-Contained Breathing; Sleeping: Character does not sleep) 0 33 Eternal: Regeneration (2 BODY per Day), Can Heal Limbs, Resurrection 0 20 Controlled Levitation: Flight 20m 2 32 Uni-Mind: Multiform (400 Character Points in the most expensive form) (80 Active Points); Extra Time (1 Turn (Post-Segment 12), Only to Activate, Character May Take No Other Actions, -¾), Costs Endurance (Only To Change; -½), Required Multiple Users (2 people; Minimum of 2 Eternals needed. ; -¼) 8 36 Eternal Defenses: Resistant Protection (12 PD/12 ED) 0 The Unimind is essentially the assembled Eternals combining to one creature. Not sure how I'd do that other than the multiform. For each Eternal involved, the Unimind gets 400pts. Probably won't bother writing that up. Anything I'm definitely missing? Hyper-Man
Re: Eternals Package Deal I seem to remember reading somewhere that the Eternals were basically Kirby's attempt at introducing a version of Kryptonians/New Gods into the Marvel Universe. Based on the former I would combine what you have already listed with the basic template I used for my 5e 350 Superman: light brick stats, LS, Regen & Defenses PLUS a Framework (Multipower or VPP) tailored for each character's specialization. The Uni-Mind could be thrown in either framework with GM approval. No Kryptonite or Red Sun limitations of course
Lord Liaden
Re: Eternals Package Deal The Champions Universe's Empyreans are very close to Marvel's Eternals -- i.e. they're all immortal, super-strong to varying degrees, can fly, and can manifest various energy-projection or mental powers -- so the 5E templates for Empyreans from Hidden Lands or Atlantean Age might be a good place to start. As for the Uni-Mind, personally I wouldn't stat that out, as it's mostly been used as a plot device more than a character directly impacting the action of a story. Mathew
Re: Eternals Package Deal You might not need to really write up a character for a Unimind. If I recall the Unimind is usually formed when the Eternals need to make a big decision. They form it, think for a while, then disperse it. It could just be a special effect of a no-range mind link. All the Eternals fly up over their city and link, talk it over, then unlink. If you need to Unimind to do something, it has all the members right there, and they can do something, like a big energy blast or TK. Enforcer84
Re: Eternals Package Deal yeah, uni mind was mostly a plot device, though one got stomped by Celestials once. ...ok that doesn't really invalidate the plot device does it. I had forgotten the Empyreans, I should have a template for them somewhere.
Greywind
Re: Eternals Package Deal No. The Celestials are just a much bigger plot device.
Doctor Agenda
Re: Eternals Package Deal The earth Eternals are cosmic-powered true immortals due to a 'radiation accident' but the Titanian Eternals are 'merely' strong and durable and live for centuries. Eternals can be made more vulnerable by things that interfere with their mental control of their bodies, there has been Deviant technology that takes advantage of that. The most common manifestation of their cosmic power is an eruption of force from their hands or eyes: I think they all have that to some degree with the exception of Makkari who channels all his power into speed.
