Wishful Thinking...

Several seemingly ordinary people all around Campaign City appear to have tapped into some sort of wish-fulfillment/reality-warping power which allows them to create anything or make anything happen simply by closing their eyes and concentrating hard enough. Thus far today, your character has seen a young fellow in a Star Wars T-shirt wish for a real working Lightsabre and his very own harem of beautiful women in Slave Leia costumes, a man in business suit wished for a big suitcase full of gold bars, several different people wished for superpowers (and costumes), entire blocks of the city's residential area(s) now feature mansions and palaces in place of the humble houses and apartment buildings that used to be there, the entire police department has been turned into circus clowns, and strangely enough, someone has apparently wished for the sky to turn purple with green polka dots. Who or what is at the root of all this is, as of yet, unknown.

Well, I suppose if you're a detective, you could wish really hard to find out who did this, how and why, but then you'd probably ruin it for everyone else.

I don't have any current characters, but I had a Teen Champion named Duo (duplicator, cosmic sfx powers) who'd probably wish for enhanced powers and his own harem, just probably not in that order.

My real self: Expect a monkey's paw deal coming for them' date=' when they wake up next day. (especially considering who posted this scenario :sneaky: )[/quote']

Yep. Marcus' ultrauberbadguy is doubtless behind this. And as a Satan analouge, he's doubtless going to charge a hefty price for those wishes

Not really his style' date=' especially the part about letting someone turn the sky purple with green polka dots...[/quote']

What does he care what color the sky is, so long as he gets whatever price he's charging for the wishes? I imagine souls are still a hot commodity, befuddled or not.

Olorin would be going "OMG! This is not good. Wishes can go so easily awry & normally have a price equal to the wish." and them do a magical analysis to find out how this happened and set it right. - including doing a wish to do so - he has experience with wishes and rarely messes them up.

Volt - wishes the wishes away and that they would stop - if that can be done.

Black Tiger. Does what he does best - curse silently and investigate.

Leadman. Does what he does best - curse loudly and investigate.

Futurian "Oh God! The wish machine is active! I thought that would not occur for at least 100 years yet! C'mon think Futurian...how did they stop it in the past? - er in the future - er- in my past but this future. God, I hate temporal paradoxes."
