TheRealDeal
Anyone have any ideas on how to build this? The creature basically makes a Bite Attack and on a hit, Grabs the target. If the Target is still Grabbed when the creature gets its next Phase, it can Swallow Whole. The target vanishes into the creature's innards, and suffers acid damage and is basically suffering the same effects of an Entangle as far as being unable to move and use Foci. No one outside the creature has LOS to the target. If the target can inflict enough damage to the creature or if enough damage is dealt to the creature in the abdomen from outside, it will vomit him out. Thanks. Christopher
Afaik the Bestiary has rules for this. If you lack it, you can always build something with Grab/Entangle and Damage Shield. The "vanishes from Sight" part is difficulty, but could be done with "immune to attack" on the Entangle
phoenix240
Maybe an Entangle with Limitations: No Range, Must Follow Bite/Grab and Limited Power: Creature takes Damage inflicted on Entangle and Entangle if creature stunned to represent its gag reflex if severely hurt. Philip Nicholls
extra dimensional movement, must follow successful grab attack, linked with a continuous HKA
stardogchamp
I'ts not written up as a power, but general points about it are made: To swallow a target, a creature must be at least four Size categories larger than the potential meal. See 6E1 442-45 for the different Size categories (or whichever ed you have) and “count down” from the target’s size to determine if the attacker is big enough. For example, a creature must be at least Gigantic to swallow a human; a Small animal can swallow a Minute critter whole. Swallowing a target requires an Attack Roll using Grab, at an additional -2 OCV penalty. If the attack succeeds, the target has been ingested. He takes the attacker’s STR damage that Segment. On each of the animal’s Phases thereafter, the victim (and everything he has with him) takes damage (just as if he were suffering a Constant attack- Swallowing Damage, see below). The interior of a creature typically has half of the creature’s ordinary defenses and DCV 0. If a swallowed character does BODY damage equal to half the creature’s positive BODY, he cuts a hole wide enough for him fit through. Swallowing Damage (all Killing Attack) Weak 1/2 d6 Moderate 1 d6 Average 1 1/2 d6 Strong 2 d6 Very Strong 3 d6
Sean Waters
You can do this (pretty much) just with Extra Limbs (intestine), a Grab then a damaging power that works automatically when you have someone grabbed. It may not SOUND right but I think it does everything you need and, in addition, you can climb out if you are strong enough

It may not SOUND right but I think it does everything you need and, in addition, you can climb out if you are strong enough The one thing it also prevents is allies helping the character that was swallowed. Neither grab nor entangle can fully do that, as both explicitly allow help from allies. But maybe that is actually a feature? D&D swallow whole is kinda broken since you cannot help an ally. Even if you both are swallowed. So grab or entangle+Damage Shield might be the right way to go.

Lucius
They could stick their fingers down it's throat...\ YOU stick your fingers down its throat. I'M not putting my hand down that gullet. Lucius Alexander I just saw it swallow a palindromedary!
Rebar
extra dimensional movement, must follow successful grab attack, linked with a continuous HKA This is very clever and a very cool way to handle it. Don't forget usable against others/as attack though. But what's the Cont HKA for? Digestion? It seems to me that that is a property of the "dimension". The dimension is simply defined that way. If you were transported to an airless, gravityless point in space, you wouldn't buy the physics there would you?
Beast
I'd go w/ extra limbs to only hold the target that has been swallowed the acid should be a damage shield only for targets that have been swallowed this way you can go and attack others you should buy personal immunity vs your acid attack
Ninja-Bear
Wouldn't entangle be a better representstion than extra limb?
