stardogchamp's Achievements

  1. You might consider giving the powers a Focus Limitation (OIF Wings & rockets, for example). Perhaps Restrainable, if the character could not 'sprout' them when tied up or some such.
  2. P.U.F.F. is the Perpetual Unearthly Forces Fund - which is used to pay the bounties on supernatural creatures/beings in the universe of Monster Hunter International. As far as assigning bounties to creatures not listed, I'm not exactly sure how to go about it... i did a quick comparison, and there doesn't seem to be a correlation between point costs and bounty amount. So maybe just use a rough comparison of Defenses + Attack powers (Damage Classes) and base a bounty on that. You could always throw in a little extra cash if the battle went badly
  3. I first heard this term used in Walter Jon Williams' novel Aristoi : The Aristoi (and some others) can split their minds into daimones, or "limited personalities", all which can operate as independent mental entities guided by the will of the main 'self' of the Aristos. So in this case it's mostly referring to multiple personalities that have been cultivated to have their own unique personalities.
  4. The Prodigal Son, or more simply, The Prodigy.
  5. and then there's the Scale of the Universe... http://htwins.net/scale2/
  6. You may know of it already, but GURPS has a sourcebook/setting based on the Lensman novels by E.E. 'Doc' Smith.
  7. I'ts not written up as a power, but general points about it are made: To swallow a target, a creature must be at least four Size categories larger than the potential meal. See 6E1 442-45 for the different Size categories (or whichever ed you have) and “count down” from the target’s size to determine if the attacker is big enough. For example, a creature must be at least Gigantic to swallow a human; a Small animal can swallow a Minute critter whole. Swallowing a target requires an Attack Roll using Grab, at an additional -2 OCV penalty. If the attack succeeds, the target has been ingested. He takes the attacker’s STR damage that Segment. On each of the animal’s Phases thereafter, the victim (and everything he has with him) takes damage (just as if he were suffering a Constant attack- Swallowing Damage, see below). The interior of a creature typically has half of the creature’s ordinary defenses and DCV 0. If a swallowed character does BODY damage equal to half the creature’s positive BODY, he cuts a hole wide enough for him fit through. Swallowing Damage (all Killing Attack) Weak 1/2 d6 Moderate 1 d6 Average 1 1/2 d6 Strong 2 d6 Very Strong 3 d6
  8. As Per Champions Powers, 6th ed (btw, is it ok to copy & paste from the rule books?) Electromagnetic Pulse Effect: Dispel Electricity Powers 8d6 Target: One character or device Duration: Instant Range: 240m END Cost: 12 Description: The character projects a pulse of electromagnetic energy that disrupts the flow of electricity. This allows the character to shut off electrical devices by frying their circuitry, and to temporarily diminish or de-activate electricity based superpowers. Game Information: Dispel Electricity Powers 8d6, Expanded Effect + Variable Effect (all Electricity Powers simultaneously; +4). Total cost: 120 points. Options: 1) Powerful Pulse: Increase to Dispel Electricity Powers 12d6. Total cost: 180 points. 2) Weaker Pulse: Decrease to Dispel Electricity Powers 6d6. Total cost: 90 points. 3) Unfocused Pulse: Add Area Of Effect (32m Radius; +1) and No Range (-½). 144 Active Points; total cost 96 points. 4) Variant Electromagnetic Pulse: Change to Drain Electricity Powers 3d6. Total cost: 150 points. 5) Electromagnetic Touch: The character has to touch a device or character to disrupt its electrical powers. Add No Range (-½). Total cost: 80 points. Although I also like the idea of a Drain with Delayed Return Rate. edit: The thing about Dispel, as i understand, is that characters can 're-start' those powers... so a Drain in this case would be the way to go, especially with enough Delayed Return Rate to take them out of the fight.
  9. I found this 5th ed write up: http://www.sysabend.org/champions/gnborh/html/Magneto-dm.html clocks in at 1003 pts.
  10. Looking at my ol' rulebook (Revised ed., copyright '82, printed in '83), Life Support was thus: 5 pts Character may breathe underwater 10 pts ....does not have to breathe, immune to inhaled gas 15 pts ...immune to gasses absorbed through the skin 20 pts ...survive in space or under high pressure 25 pts ...need not eat or excrete 30 pts ...survive under conditions of extreme heat, cold, radiation, pressure, etc., although he still takes damage from attacks of these natures due to shock. Each category includes all those above it, cost no END to use.
  11. Have you seen this thread? http://www.herogames.com/forums/topic/87882-emailing-a-fireball/?hl=%2Bfireball+%2Bemail it might give you some food for thought.
  12. Yes, I have a copy of this one! Looking at the pages you listed, all had been corrected: cost for Entangle shows "Cost = 10 pts. for 1d6 of Entangle" Extra Limb has the correct & complete cost summary "Cost = 10 pts. for each extra limb etc" pg 56 does have the '1/2' included; "He multiplies his STR by 1 1/2 before....." Also, total length of my copy is 80 pages, just sayin' because the page number on 80 is a smaller font than the other 79 pgs.
  13. Star Wars Holiday Special Part 10
  14. I think it is this one http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RWBY
