Steve
When building a cape, do you do it as an OAF, an OIF, or maybe use a combination of OIF and Restrainable?
GCMorris
I usually make it part of the costume without either limitations or advantages. But I rarely have characters with capes.
Beast
Precision's cape is an energy field he creates, so it is only restrainablethe question you need to ask is 1 if it got grabbed by Grond ,could he slam you like Hulk did to Loki in Avengers 1 if "yes" then OIF if "no" OAF unless you hang on
steriaca
Unless the cape does something, then it is simply a consumer. If your cape is a power, it is mostly OIF, unless it is designed to come off with a sharp yank (to avoid the fate of Dollar Bill, who got his cape caught in a revolving door, and was shot to death). Then it is OAF. Of course, a cape could also be IIF/IAF...
Steve
Well, I'm only asking in the case of a cape that has some abilities, like Armor or Flight. In the case of either of those powers, I could see grabbing it to temporarily disable the abilities, but if it isn't also easy to take away, wouldn't that make it an Inaccessible focus? I'm leaning towards using OIF and maybe Restrainable and also an Activation Roll for an armored cape, but I was curious how others have made them. freakboy6117
A Break-away cape is the only option.
steriaca
For the five people who don't know, Dollar Bill is a Watchman background hero, mostly existing to show the perils of normal people playing superheroes. He would of been a great superhero if he was allowed by his sponcers to ditch the cape.
