  1. As in the traditional "Stand behind/near Boss" type. The bodyguard is armed, the martial art is for situations when a firearm is unavailable or otherwise contra-indicated

  3. Or at least I think it was. I've been going over a lot of my older stuff (I have Enemies II and III but not I !!) and I have a vauge memory of an revamping of Deathstroke. Deathsinger was renamed Requiem and a female member was added to the team, but that is all that I recall. Any idea of the supplement and where it might leagally picked up?
  4. Is there an on line source for the Champions Team Lineup of: Quantum Obsidian Defender Seeker Jaguar (?) I appear to have lost/misplaced my hardcopy of the edition this lineup appeared in and I don't want to use translations of the ones that appeared in the Champions Millennium book I recently recovered.

Re: Ideas needed for a 600 year old hero One thing you might consider is odd gaps in his knowledge, such as can fly real simple aircraft, but leaves any advanced electronics alone as he only learned how to fly, let's say at a WW2 level, and then circumstances never allowed him to qualify with more advanced aircraft. Or he can maintain (field strip/clean) just a few firearms (from various periods), but only those because, again because of circumstances, he never had a chance, or bothered to, learn about any other firearms.
  6. Re: THE HERO SYSTEM GRIMOIRE: What Do *You* Want To See? If a spell could fit in more than one catagory, will you list it? For example the classic Fireball would obviously be listed in Elemental-Fire, but you could also have it under Chaos (fire can be considered chaotic energy), Divine (if the caster is a servant of a fire diety) or Black Magic (if your definition of Black Magic is magic that can harm). If you have the spells listed by the categories you listed above that any reasonable alternative be listed. As to specific spells, some of the "big guns" from various animes (such as Slayers and Magical Girl Lyrical Nahona) would be nice.

  8. In other words a artillary/mortar shell that will disburse mines over an area. My problem is how to best represent a field that will remain dangerous after the first poor grunt sets off the first mine.

In one story he mentioned that he could study a subject to be able to argue objectively with an expert, but after the case was over he found that after a week he remembered little or nothing about that subject
  11. Re: Three Musketeers in Outer Space In my still under development Star Hero Campain, the Emperor has 4 regiments of personal troops whose knickname is the Musketters. While not enjoying 100% participation most members do fence and try to act in a swashbuckle fashion. As an aside all information that would detail why this tradition started has been accidentally destroyed/damaged or hacked so many times it is considered unreliable

Space capability is primarly for simple utility functions brick like Oh that's fine, my problem, as I said previously is that I tend to forget things that become obvious later. Re: Shadowcats Vehicular Insanity Shop: Things to come Space Marine APC, capable of operating in space (but not of making a rapid re-entry), minor flight capability but moves more rapidly close to ground, Base crew =2 driver + Gunner with additional space for a vehical commander. Up to 14 passanger capabiliy, approprate communications gear, Gunner can select between using a laser or some sort of projectile weapon, at least one of these weapons should have some sort of autofire capability. I'm asking because when I look at some of your designs I find myself slapping my head over obvious things I forget to put in.

  16. The series "Magical Girl Lyrical Nahona" features a spell called Barrier. Looking through the actions the characters go through I find myself asking, which would be better/closer to the series: Resistant Defense (cost Endurance or uses charges) Activation or Needs Power:Skill roll. Perseptable only when stopping an attack (-0). Special effect is when you stop an attack you get this circular seal/shield design appearing with the attack in the center. OR Barrier (the power) not anchored, requires consentration to maintain, disappears when you loose/stop concentrating Thoughts please.
  17. Re: Supers vs. Military Depends on the group/individual some are so egotistical a minor insult would do. While you might have some ligitimate points for someone like Dr Destroyer or Mechinon the amount of damage a 105mm or 155mm most characters are not in that class. Also remember the various types of shells that are availiable. Example Speedsters don't normally have as much rPD as bricks, simply because of where they spend thier points. I mentioned shells that contain mines, speedsteer doesn't see mines =BOOOM=. Simular effect with cluster bomblets. Ice/cold based super? Drop a few spotting rounds why?   19. Re: Supers vs. Military Of course one way to deal with high DCV supers is artillary, massive amounts of AOE attacks are hard to dodge. Granted the character who can go from 0 to mach 1 could get away, but assuming you have time to prepare, that's what unmarked mine-fields are for.
  20. Re: The ThunderCats Project I always thought Dr Scarab was one of the better villians because he would run when it made sense. Example: Scarab and only one minion about to take out a depowered member of B6. Suddenly the rest of the team shows up Depowered B6: Boy am I glad to see you Dr Scarab: I, of course, am not. Then he drops a smoke grenade and runs!!!!! We need a few more villians like that.

Re: How best to replace "Find Weakness" So even though the Power (and associated defense) was removed from 6th edition you would still use it, no problem I've got 4th edition still so no problem on a reference to lookup And at this time I don't have the APG. Am I correct in assuming it is different from the 1 level of Hardenend cancels 1 level of AP rule?
  22. I've going over some of the older Hero/Champions stuff I have (currently the 1993 V="Viper" soursebook) and I've come across several characters/agents with "Find Weakness". As that ability has been removed from 6th Edition, how would you or what would you use to replace it?
