  1. Re: Genre-crossover nightmares Run Lolo Run An Olympian races to save a friend. Watch out for that ninth hurdle.
  2. Re: The cranky thread That's the only reason I'm staying there. But if they pull any more crap, I may just decide to risk unemployment for a while.
  3. Re: Musings on Random Musings I heard they showed a bit of taekwondo, but it was early in the morning. Of course, that had to be one of the times I actually got some sleep. I was able to catch a couple of highlights, but mostly in the Spanish channel. I don't speak any Spanish, but I think I can figure out what went on. The athlete kicking the official made the news, even if the match itself wasn't aired.
  4. Re: The cranky thread Sorry to hear that, Alice and Chad. I'm close to quitting myself, as I'm tired of the BS going on at work.

Re: Classic Fantasy Not her fault. There was a "no double dipping" rule in place.
  7. Re: Musings on Random Musings WTF = World Taekwondo Federation ITF = International Taekwondo Federation
  8. Re: A DC Animated-style HeroMachine The Equestrian
  9. Re: Musings on Random Musings Possibly. Assault and battery definitely, especially since the official needed stitches. I hear baseball will be replaced with an Iron Chef-style cook-off. *kick (Apologies to Ben for borrowing it without permission; it seemed appropriate given the topic) All I know is that the coach defended the player's action. Maybe that's it. He did stop the player from continuing the assault, however. Keep in mind they're not allowed to compete, but they can remain in their dojang, if they don't get kicked out of that one too. The WTF is one of the governing bodies; it depends on the country. The WTF members include South Korea and the USA. Other countries like Canada and North Korea are part of the ITF (or some incarnation of it, since it fragmented into three or four organizations since the founder died). The Olympics uses the WTF rules.

  11. Re: Musings on Random Musings He deserves to be banned for life. That was just unacceptable. What makes it even worse is that there has been talk about taekwondo being pulled from the Olympics, just like baseball and softball. You know I'm not happy about it.
  12. Re: A DC Animated-style HeroMachine Thanks.
  13. Re: Genre-crossover nightmares Robocop Police Academy First Knight Rider
  14. Re: A DC Animated-style HeroMachine It seems that "Nighthawk" is a popular name for heroes. Of course, it is a cool name. My Nighthawk character is a ninja who migrated to San Francisco. He fights crime there along with his pal, the Dark Rider. Pardon the sloppy work on the wheels on Dark Rider's motorcycle. I'll have to redo them later.
  15. Re: The cranky thread Best wishes for your kids, guys.
  16. Re: The cranky thread Seconded.
  17. Re: Genre-crossover nightmares Tick vs. Freakazoid! Wait, that one would actually be fun to watch.
  18. Re: A Thread for Random Musings I've been called many things in my life, but I've never been called a paragraph before!
  19. Re: The Addams Family Why does the thought of Pugsley getting his MD fill me with dread?
  20. Re: The Addams Family Gomez seemed to be able to do everything.
  21. Re: A DC Animated-style HeroMachine Freakazoid!
  22. Re: The cranky thread Sorry to hear that, CC. I hope you recover quickly.
