  1. I have created an adaptation of Prime Directive (mostly based on the first edition rules) for Hero. Here is a link to my material. I plan on running this as an online game at some point in the future. Let me know what you think. Prime Directive Link
  2. Powers only work on Tuesday. Change Enviornment: "Tuesday"
  3. Seenar: Mental Illusions and then Mind Control. They guy disarms the bomb and does not even know it.
  4. For my namesake, Seenar, he actually did this. She was a succubus sent to subvert him. They got married and she told her father (the demon that sent her) she was not comming home. They both paid for that later. As far as my first Champions Character, Blackstar, he is a 1 meter diameter disk from another planet. It would have been really weird.
  5. I have a quick Mental Powers Question: If I am trying to score the +20 needed to prevent, say, telepathy from being noticed, is that in addition to the +20 I would need to read the target's memory, right?
  6. So the offical Space Suit in Star Hero will not protect you from nerve gas?
  7. It still seems like I am getting LS effect for free if I am building a high tech battle suit. After all, if I bought the LS in the suit, someone could still tamper with the suit since it is focused. Any breach to the suit would kill all LS at once, not just parts. Basically, the special effect declared gets me 20 points for free. What if I just declare I am made out of Rock, and have the space level LS? No skin, no breathing, resistant PD so I cannot be bitten or poked by things. Again, seems to me I am getting the LS for free. Which begs the question: Why is LS against disease and posions a whopping 20 points? Seems way to expensive, espcially at a heroic level. I mean, 50 points just to have a Zombie?
  8. If I buy the requestie 19 points to survive in space, but don't buy it as a suit, and instead make it a natural talent, then Nerve Gas will effect me? It seems to me the suit path is not only cheeper, but will give me an effective 20pts of Life Support against Disease and Posions of all kinds because they cannot get to me. This just does not sit well.
  9. If a space suit is built (as shown in Star Hero) with only breathing and a few safe envionments, does it still protect you from, say, nerve gas?
  10. Update to Order of St. Anne as requested: http://www.seenar.com/games/kith_dalton/Order_of_St_Anne.htm
  11. This is typically how I make a world. This is just the first time I have done it all on the computer.
  12. Yeah, we headed it in that direction. They do have a CAK along with the POI limitations (pretty much fills them up) as well as a pretty hefty Social Limitation. In fact, the Order of Saint Anne was a player idea I fleshed out. I was not intending them to even exisit, but I like to take player ideas and work them in if I can.
  13. I will see what I can do to get it off paper and into HTMl
  14. I have sort of. The idea came from one of the new players, so her character has it. There is a Blessing Collage that goes along with it as well, and you have to buy at elast 15 points in marital arts. The link works for me, I am not sure what the deal is, but I will edit to repair.
  15. Kith Dalton http://www.seenar.com/games/kith_dalton/index.html Edit-maybe this will help
  16. We had a Metal Mage in one game who used the lighten metal spell to remove the encumbrance from the party. That was an exponential effect. She wore armor, used an axe, and would fire off the iron bolt for ranged effect. She also has a powerful dispell she kept using against other mages. She was the second most powerful fighter after the Palidin in the group.
  17. GURPS pretends to be what Hero actaully is, and gets all the limelight.
  18. Re: Poor Steve Jackson Was not ADB's fault that TFG just stopped publishing SFB. ADB has been doing a great job getting stuff out since getting away form TFG.
  19. Thanks, Armitage. Looking at this page just increases my disdain for all things GURPS.
  20. Our Holy Warrior in one game, referred to our Illusionist with the 12d6 Mental Illiuons as the team "Howitzer" because he was alywas zapping people from the other side of the field.
  21. I so totally hate GURPS, but the folks at Amarillo Design Bureau decided to use GURPS for Prime Directive. (I guess now technically, GRUPS Prime Directive, gah). Anyway, while I have already spent a lot of time converting the orginal Prime Directive to Hero, they will contiune to come out with thing (stupidly titled) like GURPS Klingon Empire, and GRUPS Rmulans, and GURPS Photon Torpedoes (OK, I made that last one up). So, I am wondering if their is a good rule of thumb to convert from the dumb-ass GURPS system to Hero, Truly The Ultimate Gamers Toolkit?
  22. I have seen a lot of discussion that a mage purchasing spells. I am not sure I understand the problem. I have had many mages in games, and they all paid for their spells. With any level of experience, they quickly started to outstrip the growth of the fighters. I just don’t see that the mages end up power poor. Also, the whole idea a fighter only spends a couple of points on a WF and uses a sword is not what happens. That fighter buys marital arts, or skill levels, and usually honkin’ stats. In my games they spend at least 30 points on fighter related stuff. Just like the 30 or so points spent by the mages. I just don’t see it as a problem.
  23. I rather like letting mages use their Magic Power Skill roll to pull off small effects. A Fire mage has no problem lighting fires, for instance, a Northron mage can always chill a drink, or keep food preserved by freezing it etc.
