  1. Re: Character for review I'm also working with my first 6E character. What I see is your movement power is in your multipower. You might want to buy up running.
  2. Re: What would do more damage to a non-living object? (also Shatter Limb) So DRAIN/RKA (only vs non-living targets) would be useful against a suit of power armor? and for the Shatter Limb power, how would I know if the limb was shattered? is there BODY for arms/legs? is a major transform good enough to do this?
  3. Re: Superhero Images Black Falcon. A simple touch can destroy non-living matter, or induce unconsciousness in living beings. Just a touch.
  4. I want a character to be able to destroy things with a touch: Object Ruination: 14D6 Dispel Device/Object Variable Effect (any one Device/Object +1/2) No Range (63 active points) Black Falcon can warp and mold physical objects to break them, and ruin their properties/powers and so forth. (page 54 of the powers book) or Ruinous touch Touch 6D6 Body Drain ony vs non living targets Also please comment on this power. I want to break the bones in an arm or leg, but not kill anyone, Shatter Limb: 4D6 Major Transform, Cumulative. Breaks arm or leg in several places at once. Not life threatening. Healing, Aid, or normal recovery heals back the damage. I'm unsure if DMs would allow this in a standard Supers game, but I'm also not sure how to tell if this worked.
  5. Re: I just got 6E today and I'm looking to build an unusual character: Black Falcon. Heh, sleepers. I had a tough gm in the 90's, and if we had a power he wouldn't likely approve, then we would add a totally ourageous power. He would so focus on that he would let the sleepers get by... Hmmm. Maybe I'm giving away a player secret here.
  6. Re: I just got 6E today and I'm looking to build an unusual character: Black Falcon. Thank you for the feedback, that exactly what I was looking for. I was working with the basic book and thought i was all clever with the limitation disad. Just got the Two core rules books today. Now I can research and come up with a reasonable character. also what about this power? Its one I was worried about. Too much? 3) Shadow Aura: Shadows swirl around Black Falcon. She becomes Hard to see. +4 to DCV (20), +1 OCV (10) and +50% Physical Damage Reduction (30) Costs End (6 total) Unified powers
  7. Re: I just got 6E today and I'm looking to build an unusual character: Black Falcon. Feel Free, I have more at my DA site, and the link to the guy I commissioned this from. Cost me all of $20 bucks... If you use it in a Blog or something, please link it back to my DA page (in sig below). Otherwise its free to use in any campaign without notice. peruse my Favorites gallery too, there are a number of hero commissions you could use.
  8. Re: How would you build flight that works underwater? Hmmm. Its not in the basic book. My hard cover doesn't come in till this week. So good, its not hopeless. Thanks
  9. I'm putting together a guy who can generate air and harden it into a force shield. Its good enough to justify life support in a number of environments, and I want him to fly as well in air or underwater. I have no idea where to start.
  10. Re: Funny locations for a Dark Champions game? The Horror in Hobokun. Lights out in Watts The Case of the Deadly Fudge-Packers in Hershey, PA.
  11. Re: I just got 6E today and I'm looking to build an unusual character: Black Falcon. OK, here is my first attempt at a starting character. I would like your feedback, especially with a susceptibility, and a few unnamed powers. We are assuming this is a standard 400 pt 6E campaign with a 60 point limit, but the GM got talked into allowing 62 and 63 points. Spoilers: What’s weird is I linked powers to a darkness field Its an open portal to an alternate plan of corrosive energy. AND I have two multi-powers, so I’m likely to be burning 12 END a phase. Shadow Aura is one I’m concerned GM’s might not allow. --and yes, I know I might need more skills. How important is PRE now? I remember ignoring it in the 90’s. --so bottom line, would you allow this character in your campaign? BLACK FALCON 60 (Master Power) Darkness Field 20 Pd/20ED Force Field Visual effects: It looks like BF is in the shade, wisps of black smoke swirl about her feet and wings. When the field is up, it means Black Falcon has opened the portal to a plane of corrosive dark energies. All other powers are dependent on this field being up and active. When she sleeps or is knocked unconscious, the field goes down. 13 (20) Power Defense Linked to darkness field 26 (45) Flight 30M, No END +1/2, Wings Restrainable -1/2, and only in Alternate ID -1/4 She can grow wings at will, but they are distinctive and would tear through her clothing. She must change first, as her costume allows for her wings growth.) 5 Life Support. Immune to terrestrial poisons and chemical warfare agents 3 (5) Night Vision (Lenses in mask OIF -1/2) 31 (63) Multi-Power Dark Prowess-1/2 linked, -1/2 no range 3) Shadow Punch 12D6 E Blast Darkness, No Range/Linked 3) Object Ruination: 14D6 Dispel Device/Object Variable Effect (any one Device/Object +1/2) No Range/Linked. Page 54, Powers book. Black Falcon can warp and mold physical objects to break them, and ruin their properties/powers and so forth. 3) Shatter Limb: 4D6 Major Transform, Cumulative. No Range/Linked Breaks arm or leg in several places at once. Not life threatening. Healing, Aid, or normal recovery heals back the damage. 3) Dark Breath 6D6 NND. No Range/Linked. Defense is life support vs poison or self contained breathing/ gas mask or breathing equipment. Falcon breathes dark smoke into her victims’ face. 3) Dark Vapors: 4D6 NND area effect 8M. Defense is life support verses poison, self contained breathing, or simple breathing equipment (as above) No Range, linked. Falcon already immune to this. 2) Ruinous Touch. No range linked. Transfer to STUN ---------------------------------------------------------------- 41 (62) Multi-Power The Dark Realm -1/2 linked 4) Darkness to sight group 10M personal immunity +1/4 linked 4) No Barriers: Bought to show her ease at moving through walls. 10m Tunneling through 25 PD Materials. Does not fill in afterwards 4) Shadow Tentacles: A Black Portal opens and shadowy tentacles entangle the victim. 6D6 Body 6 PD/ED Linked. This is a ranged attack! 3) Shadow Aura: Shadows swirl around Black Falcon. 12. Re: I just got 6E today and I'm looking to build an unusual character: Black Falcon. Black Falcon.
  13. Re: 2nd question on a power build Yes it's vs a characters DCV. The advantage "usable as an attack" makes it so. Once you hit, it will stick to the character. --Is you want this to stick to YOU, then that's a different set of advantages. Usable as an attack, personal immunity, self only
  14. Re: Ideas needed for a 600 year old hero
  15. Re: Godzilla Jr. Forget the 90 STR at 6 feet. 25-35 should suffice. As for invulnerability, 20 resistant PD/ED is fine. I would add for 30 points 50% Damage Reduction vs PD (Nothing extra vs ED). Also add serious Knockback protection. Its rare when G is toppled over. He tends to shrug off missiles and advance towards the heaviest resistance. I agree with the regeneration/life support. I can see a story unfolding here. Japan's G-Force has finally found something that worked on Godzilla. they shrank him and his powers as well. BUT, its temporary, only for a few more days. G-Force was transporting the beast to the antarctic to freeze G solid before he could regain his size and strength. On the way they were attacked space aliens/super criminals/cat girls. or all three groups. Yeah, that sounds good. The transports went out of control, skipped into sub orbit, and landed in the southern USA. So now the PCs have to gight their way through foreign agents, Super ninjas, aliens, cat girls, super villains, more cat girls, and good old boys with shot guns out 'gator hunting.' The race is on to catch Godzilla and get him out of the country before he grows into a much bigger problem. Ya know its time to pull out the beastiary and toss a few other monsters into the mix...Bigfoot vs Godzilla? He may be 6 feet tall, but thats no reason for him not to fight other monsters. This could be sheer chaotic fun.

  18. Re: Funny locations for a Dark Champions game? Funny Locations? Orlando: The Dark Side of Disney... Death Comes to Downtown Disney. Terror in Toon Town. Kiss me in Kissime...a Vampire's Tale.
  19. Re: Getting started in Champions with two young boys Good advice. I can only add keep the stories simple with lots of combat. Kids will zone out during any lengthy role play and things like deduction, and criminology will be beyond them. They will basically want to look cool and kick A--! I suggest you introduce them to the Bruce Tim hero site (elsewhere in this forum) so they can make their own heroes. Oh, and look disappointed when they beat up your villains.
  20. Re: I just got 6E today and I'm looking to build an unusual character: Black Falcon.

  22. Re: I just got 6E today and I'm looking to build an unusual character: Black Falcon. Ah, you are referring to "rapid fire." Thats an advantage? Its not in the basic rules (paperback), it should be in the core rules when I get them next week. I will look it up. Arrrg! $80 bucks for both rule books!
  23. Re: I just got 6E today and I'm looking to build an unusual character: Black Falcon. YES! I did buy tunneling! I've been making a list of powers in this thread, http://www.herogames.com/forums/showthread.php/83043-Black-Falcon-and-the-Corrosive-Energy-Darkness-Power-set?p=2103589#post2103589 BTW, what is IIRC? Ya got me there.
  24. I want to run a classic Champions game with Genocide, or whatever the anti-mutant organization is. I've got the Champs genre book, the Powers book, the basic rules and the core rules on order. I need villains and maybe a few adventures. Also is there another site that is player oriented? I want to see a lot of character write ups. and maybe a few player made games. I wont be using the CU, though I may buy it for the characters and organizations. I also like to use real cities for my locations so I can blow up landmarks and such. I also am tossing together the germ of an idea about a mutant/meta supremacy group L.O.K.I. that has more modest ambitions. They don't want to take over the world, just New Zealand, and maybe Australia. They just want a small country to create a feudal monarchy with mutants as the nobility. Let Dr Destroyer waste his time conquering the earth. Smaller goals are more easily obtained. L.O.K.I. is currently operating/recruiting in the US, They own ships, docks, warehouses and a shipping empire in both the US and New Zealand. They already have spies in NZ checking out the local heroes, and people likely to oppose them, but have done nothing as yet. They also have opened a decoy base in a South American country for the heroes to destroy if LOKI is ever discovered. The base is stocked with patsies who think the little country is the true target. Its got lots of weapons and a self destruct button. The air ducts are all man-sized, and connect to to tiger cages to unleash upon silly agents (can't make it look too easy, right?) all in all, LOKI is well organized and has good morale. banks robbed are typically in the Caribbean where Mob loot tends to be laundered or in rural US areas. LOKI only enters PC cities for recruiting. Most of their money is made legitimately (aided with staff mentalists).
