  1. Re: Your PCs might be Underpowered if... Man, thats a bummer, a darkly humorous ironic one but a bummer nonetheless

  3. Re: Captain America and Cast Cap wears a chainmail bikini!? Okay, well, this is America and what someone chooses to do in the privacy of their own home is largely their business.... Seriously though, this is a really ambitious project. Can't wait to see more.
  4. Re: Foods for those that just don't care anymore Am I alone in thinking that, scaled down in size or split up among four, that sandwich sounds pretty good?
  5. Re: Watchmen: A GM's tale...or why we set campaign limits Personally, I like the Rule of X more than Hard caps. It seems to bring a bit more variety to the table. Hard caps with experienced players generally means all the character look the "same" mechanically (though have differing special effects) so there's less team work and tactics generated by covering each others weaknesses and exploiting individual strengths. ROX isn't perfect of course.
  6. Re: What would your Character Be: Tiger Squad There's been a few "alternate Earth" threads. Most of them have "Alternate Earth" in the header if you'd like to search for them. They're pretty fun.
  7. Re: I need help with a Magic System First, thanks for all the input. Delayed Effect works well except for one aspect. Quick Casting is risky (has Side effects) while long casting isn't, you fail you just fail.
  8. Re: Immunity to Electric Attacks Desolidification could be a decent kludge with a just few nudges such as taking Limitations like Does not Protect from Damage or only protects from one SFX negates the requirement to get Affects Real World on Attacks or other powers. Most forms would have "Cannot pass through Solid Matter". 0 Endurance, Persist possible Inherent could be used. The issue of conductivity (does the attack pass through the target or not) would be a matter of sfx. When I get the chance I'll run the numbers.
  9. Re: Who homages the Watchmen or those the Watchmen homaged?
  10. Re: Bullet Kata Well, I think you were being a little too literal... and "Bullet Kata" is what I've most often heard it referred. But anyway you asked why I was considering Missile Deflection/Reflection and I answered.
  11. Re: Bullet Kata Because that's what they are. If some shoots at her with a freeze beam (NND vs LS: Immune to Cold) because she evades it and causes them to hit someone else it's not going to become an RKA.

Never one one to waste "Material" Yun attempted to convert the capture soldiers into powerful undead minions. All but the captain died and were transformed into her slaves but Captain Blight was practically immune to Li's influence over the undead. Blight escaped capture (he was still outnumbered), and decided to make it his "life's" work to keep stop Li Blythe, now calling himself Blight as a play on his powers and name, is driven to avenge his team and stop Yu from inflicting this state on anyone else. On the surface, he seems to have adapted to his condition but is in fact, deeply troubled. His demeanor has completely changed. He was once a deeply religious, quietly intense man and dedicated solider. Now he is bold, aggressive and of a darker disposition. Blight constantly injects gallows humor and grim if clever observations into conservation, often reflecting on the chaos and generally nihilistic nature of life. He rarely laughs except in irony and spends any free time he often wandering from bar to bar indulging drinks that can no longer intoxicate him, taking pleasure with hookers or women he picks up or alone, brooding and playing military video games. Blight's powers mostly stem from his current state. He is a corpse in many respects and as such feels little pain and stress from his environment. Always a strong man, he can exert more strength a human because he doesn't feel pain that prevents regular people from injuring themselves. In fact, he can truly push himself to superhuman levels but he does injure himself when that happens, tearing muscles and breaking bone from the strain. Somehow his Yun's spell effect his weapons. They are now magically imbued with his essence and can affect even the immaterial undead to great effect. The guns never run out of ammo, need reloading or maintenance. The guns work even in conditions where they shouldn't. Blight's undead physiology generates an invisible field of necrotic energy" the Blight" which he's named himself after. Living beings exposed to Blight are weakened, feel tired and ill and are susceptible to disease, infection and slower to heal, plants wither, animals grow weak, early term pregnancies might be lost to miscarriage. The Blight's area of effect is huge but doesn't start to effect area all at once. Blight has to stay there for a few days before the effect beings to show up and the area of effect doubles every day until it reaches its full size. You can't tell by looking at Blight that he is dead. He is a little pale and never seems to tan, his body temperature feels somewhat cool not alarmingly so and he's coached himself to breath regularly. He doesn't have a heartbeat or a pulse and no other vitals signs and doesn't bleed much when cut (and the blood is thick, blackish and partially clotted). While he can perform sexually (somehow) he doesn't ejaculate. His skin is dry and unusually firm to the touch.
  13. Re: Worth a thousand words? Thanks!
  14. Re: Who homages the Watchmen or those the Watchmen homaged? I like the costume. Very Doom Patrol-ish.
  15. Re: Bullet Kata The character makes their attackers shoot each other so the attack would match the one being fired at her. The simplest way I can think of to implement that is Missile "Deflection" but I wanted to see if there were other suggestions.

  20. Re: Who homages the Watchmen or those the Watchmen homaged? I always imagined that, with a few serial numbers filed off, Telioss' character sheet wouldn't make a bad stand in for Ozymandiass'
  21. I know there is at least one other thread on this subject around but I can't seem to find it… so I apologize for the duplicate thread. The effect I want to simulate in Hero terms has been seen in some high power/over the top movies and comics when an extremely agile/battle savvy character weaves and dodges among a group of attackers, drawing and evading fire such that their attacks hit each other instead. It's usually an effect used against ranged attacks but there have been melee versions as well. In addition, some times the character with the power can attack on their own at the time, sometimes not. My first thought was some form of missile deflection/reflection with limitation applied to Reflection portion of the power that limits it to affect targets in the line of fire for the reflected attack. I know the effect is one that is either cool or retarded depending your tastes, but it's something I’d like build for a specific character so suggestions like "find some really stupid goons" and the like don't really help.
