  1. Thanks for the link, I'll probably buying these soon, depending on when I get paid, and then if I get a copy maby on a webpage, if I can get one. Other wise, the people who want to make a CB world out there can look at these websites I found. http://www.jazzmess.com/index.html http://www.alltrees.org/anime/spacenoir/index.shtml These are the best of what I've found, Other than Suasano's site:D , and give alot of info about how other people have seen the flavor, and feel of the Genre. Other sites include: http://www.geocities.com/princesssaturn_2002/coyboy_beebop.html Great midi tracs of the music. http://www.animateddreams.50megs.com/beebop.html This really dosnt have much, however it's the first one I found, and has a short sinapsis. -W
  2. Can't find them on Anime nation, however I think I'll look into the soudtracks on there. -W
  3. Thanks for the info. Where can one get the books you referenced? -W
  4. Check out some of the first few Final Fantasies (I don't really know the numbers). I had played with the idea of messing around with a FF Hero game a while back (originally trying it with Rolemaster) and stoped after my group lost interest. However I found that there are quit a few Steam age tech's in that world. -Wolf
  5. I agree For me L5R is one of the coolest games out there (the aeg stuff, I hate them for the D20 conversion) I mean the world fits the style of game play and the rules. And if you have the money the minitures (Clan War) it melds almost efforlessly into that. Really a quality game when stuff was being put out for it. Now it's just turned into the same hack and slash crap that D20 cranks out. D20 could be the death throws of good gaming folks. just my opinon, Wolf
  6. I was just wondering if anyone has done a Cowboy Beebop setting for Star Hero?

    Called Shots?

allow, however be realistic In all of my games I use called shots, mainly because all of my players use them almost exclusively, I've even invented called shot rules for games that don't have it. Yes it sucks sometimes, however be realistic about it. Ex Hulk vs. Wolverene, the hulk's fist is about the size of Wolvie, so how could he call a shot on hitting the groin for example, however if you have a sheild agent taking a tranq. dart at the blob, well, that's a bit easier. Just be senceable about the shot's being called. Imho -Wolf
  8. there is no best If we were talking real world, no there is no "the best" however there are so many different factors in the real world that you just never know. Ex: The Army Special Forces Detatchment Delta (Delta Force) are known, not rumered, but known as never missing a shot in urban combat. They just trains so much that they always hit, it sounds unbeleivable but it's true. Now I have had friends who work as Oposing forces to delta, in training, and they have lived to mess with delta, again in simulations, and they have done this by hiding, sneaking and being smart, one of my friends even came up behind a team and shot two before they could turn around and light him up (however the two he shot were allowed to "live on") So yes the whole group are "the best" shots, however they still got taken down- simple but real world "the best" and they didn't get it done. Now here we are talking about not only RPG's but Hero, not only Hero but Champions, and comics are loaded with the best. Marvel and DC have tonns of "the best" and so I think that it's possable in champions, even genre nessasary. Heck throughout the late 90's Wolverine's saying was, "I'm the best there is at what I do." I also agree, what totalls represent "the best" depend on what types of negatives there are in the world being run. And of course depending on the GM. That's my 2 pennies -Wolf
  9. To start I don't have the FHG yet, however this is an idea I used in a Gargoils game I ran (based on disneys animated series) What about season based mages and magics. It could be more shamanic/ druidic based but the premise would be magic that is focused around what season you are playing in. Ice/ cold based in winter, growth/ life based in sping, heat/ fire based in summer, death/ harm based in winter. Of course these would be able to be cast at any point however they get more powerfull as the season waxes and wanes, comming to a head at the equanox where the Epic level (all day casting type) at the equanoxes. We had alot of fun with it, and I figure that knowing more about the system you all could do more with it than I could. My base was a cosmic power pool for the magic, then an additional "boost" power pool for the season magic descriptors within the given season. -Wolf
  10. I know it's harracy, however Wizards does have a reletively good article every week on their website, it's called "map a week" : http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/mwa/archive2003 and there is at least a year if not more of archived maps for every week. I use them and the modern counterpart for any maps I need in my games. You should be able to find what you need. -Cam
  11. Way back in the good ol’ days of gaming…. We were about to start a new cyberpunk style campaign, and our GM told us about the storyline. We were undercover cops trying to infiltrate a very not-good group of terrorists. Part of the story was that the cops had a specific pistol that they carried, and to get one in the black market was very difficult, however my friend wanted one. So that was his in, He was so good he could get a cops pistol. So we get ready to play, and we are frisked before seeing the boss, the henchmen grab my friends pistol, and take it too the boss when we go in to see him. He asks, “Where did you get this gun?â€, in an angry voice. And without missing a beat my friend says laughing like he’s stupid, “I’m a cop.â€
