You GUYS! Thanks, this made my day (and thanks @Sketchpadfor letting me know about the thread). If there is a thing you're looking for specifically, let me know and I can go through backups. (I'd intended to take down everything except for Red October but couldn't bring myself to do it.)

Yeah I think the base its self isn't the whole grounds, its just the base part: the buildings, etc.  The surrounding area is just its location.  Like how you don't have to buy the ocean and sharks and water that drowns people and requires swimming if you buy a base floating in the ocean.

I'd just rather list the effets, I'm not going to go back and retro-fit some game power onto it.

For example, depending on the forest, hearing perception rolls might be at -2...or +2.  -2...deciduous forest with relatively thick, soft ground cover.  +2...pine or spruce forest.  Those old, dried needles crunch.  Range mods for perception...for hearing, it'd be to identify direction and distance accurately.  That's hard to do.  For sight, the range mods might be *greatly* shortened, particularly in any marginal lighting conditions.  Maintaining your sense of direction can be rather easier said than done.

I believe you've got the base itself as 80m x 40m x 40m.  That's HUGE...in part because of the height factor.  A 10 meter square room is substantial...almost 1100 square feet.  That's a decent sized 2-bedroom apartment...and if we knock off 30% for halls and other stuff, you'd still have room for over 200 of them.  On one floor.  40m tall is 10 floors, easily.  With x32k for the grounds, that's 10 km x 10 km...100 square kilometers, almost 40 square miles.  That is a LOT of land.  You might try playing around on Google Maps to see just how big that is.

I see no point in slasher movies personally, so I obviously never bothered.  But, camp grounds aren't likely to be this extensive;  the land value is a major issue, if nothing else.  And the development is going to be a lot smaller.  If it's set up for cabins, they're no more than 10 meter squares.  For a few bunkhouses, there probably aren't that many of them.

I could also argue that all the camp buildings are themselves just part of the overall grounds.  They're not part of the base, because they're too flimsy.  The base will be whatever fortified and stocked area the PCs make on the camp grounds.

Hmm... I don't know. A bit of modification on the modern one and they look pretty cool as Viper Agents.

Have you thought of using gaming maps and then modifying them?
The last time I built a "base" I located a map that closely aligned to what I wanted.  Then I modify it as needed.  Once I had it filled out on paper I then pointed it up.
I have run a few horror games in my time and I know I have a few "camp" maps somewhere on my computer.   I ran a Fear Itself game at "The Camp" a few times that was well received. If I can find the map I'll message you.

Environmental effects are set in the game by logic, such as "trees block of line of sight to x distance" based on their composition and density, and will often cause increased range modifiers depending on how dense the undergrowth is or how low the foliage grows.

Basically plot out how big the area is based on some existing place you know about.  Its usually pretty easy to dig up details of parks and such on line, and at worse you can use Google Earth to estimate.

The title did inspire me to start thinking about using base rules for setting up temporary but re-used camping materials and layouts for fantasy and other survival settings, though...

I didn't mind Guardians, to be honest. I think it had some fun ideas, and the art was fairly decent for the time. I also really enjoyed Justifiers, which I ran pretty regularly for about a year.

I'm referring to the original Guardians by Star Childe released in the early 1990s, not the more recent one that uses the D20 system based on the OSR.

I read "released in the early 1990s" and thought to myself "oh, something new" and then remembered it is 2021 and I felt old again

I ran some Tri-Stat SAS when it first came it out for a bit, but the group I was with preferred Champions. Funny thing was, they called it Hero-Lite for a while (which is what M&M has been occasionally called as well). BESM 4e was a bit more detailed, but still didn't quite gel with the group I ran.

I like this format. It's nice and clean. Have you set this up as a HD export? I have posted a while ago DC characters (in the download section)
using a Word template that I liked but I have no clue how to make it a HD export.

Aldo Regalado has developped a nice format for his Superverse supplement. It may not be the final version but here is a good look at it. Not sure if he has made it available and set it up as a HD export https://tgidragonflystudios.wordpress.com/2019/01/01/champions-character-sheet-thrice-the-charm/

The FASERIP retro clone I got I believe has this artwork.  I ran across a thread where the author stated that he got the artwork free. Incidentally most of the artwork I saw in it was the same as SW Super Power Companion. It’s still good comic book feel artwork.

You could buy the Image Portfolio Platinum products off DriveThruRPG and use his art. This is one of many: https://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/91000/Image-Portfolio-Platinum-Free-Edition-Storn-Cook

Not really, @Christopher R Taylor. The sheets are a bit too basic for my use. I'm thinking we could use something a bit more robust honestly. I'm thinking we'd need the other stats since they do have a purpose in the game. I was playing around with formatting a while back and came up with the following. Still not 100% happy with it, but it's coming along.
