High-guy.
 
Harold Marin loved weed originally illegally when legalization happened he was one of the first to transition to legal growing.
 
Harold was an expert grower and experimented with a variety of hybrid strains.
 
His life totally changed when a old friend a straight edge urban Explorer brought him a gift a weird mutant cannabis plant he had found growing in abandoned building near Rocky flats plant a former nuclear weapons plant shut down in raids by the FBI and EPA due to illegal environmental contamination.
 
Harold tested the plant and discovered a truly phenomenal amount of thc in the samples. He just had to try it loading up his vaporizer he settled in for a good high.
 
Harold unfortunately hadn't done a full chemical analysis if he had he would have realized that not only did the plant have very high THC levels there where a lot of previously unknown chemicals in the mix. Harold's high was a lot more intense than an old hand would expect.
 
Harold woke up 8 hours later 50 miles from Denver on the top of the 2000ft tall Hoyt radio tower. With no idea how he got there. He had had strange dreams hallucinations and a feeling like flying.
 
When he eventually got back to his grow on he found all traces of the mysterious plant gone.
 
Over the next few days Harold experienced weird side effects moments when he hallucinated floating above the ground times when he tried smoking again and everyone around him seem to get just as mellow.
 
Eventually Harold realized the truth the mysterious weed had given him super powers.
 
Harold is now HIGH-GUY THE CANNABIS CRUSADER. He has the power of flight though quite slow and gentle he can also generate a field that allows him to give people what he calls a contact high. Either mellowing them out and making them sleepy.
 
He can also make them hyperactive or paranoid though mellow and sleepy is his go too. He is also a bit tougher and stronger than a normal person.
 
He works promoting legal weed and helps fund the team through his network of dispensaries.

Mr Furious
 
The flaw activated here was the result of road rage. A minor traffic incident, harsh words exchanged and punches thrown. The globe enhanced the anger and the motorist who was just a normal man became Mr Furious. Stronger and now slightly invulnerable, he gives off waves of anger which affects those fighting him making it difficult for him to be fought. He is not a beserker but will target those who have angered him.

Edgar Manus wanted to steal large amounts of gold easily, so he built a pair of magnetic gauntlets. With them he could pull metals to him from great distances. It wasn't until he was attacked by a superhero that he discovered the gauntlets were much more powerful when repelling metal. So he outfitted himself with several iron ball bearings made relatively weightless by magnetic force and started a life of supervilliany as Ramtractor.
 
 
The Evil Emissaries
 
Somewhere deep in space sits a being feared throughout the universe. Though this creature has never been seen, it has destroyed countless worlds, and is spoken of as the Evil One. Turning it's attention to Earth, it sent six black globes to the planet. Seeming nothing more than unusual rocks the did nothing. That is until a "good" person revealed a flaw near them. A moment of greed, lust, happiness at anothers misfortune. Then the globe activated. It enhanced both the flaw in the so called good persons personality and gave them vast power. Each effected know the Evil One has granted them this power, and wants them to work together to conquer the world. And while they do work together temporarily, they may have their own plans. It matters not to the Evil One. He has corrupted six good people who will wreak havoc on the planet. And the Evil One will learn much before its next attack on the planet. Who are these six agents of destruction?

Ted Greyson wasn't too excited about going to see the exhibit. Just a few old egyptian statues. None of the good stuff. When he tripped over a cat and ht his head on a statue of Bast, he was even less enthused. Then he discovered something. He could sort of read cat's minds. Not like having an actual conversation. But their moods and genersl impressions of their day. And so he has become Cat Scan.

Beaufort is a proud Louisiana Cajun. he is an expert hunter and guide who grew up deep in the Bayou.
 
beaufort and at least four generations of his family have made a living as hunters and trappers beaufort specialised in hunting Gators. when an illegal toxic dump caused alligators and other dangerous swamp animals to grow to enourmous size beaufort was the only man for the job. unfortunatly the giant-sized gators where too tough for even heavy duty hunting rifles to make a dent in their thick hides. Beaufort acquired a Shark defense Power shot or boom stick from an uncle who ran sports fishing charters in the Gulf.
 
armed with what was basically a spear tipped with a shot gun and his trusty bowie knife beaufort took care of those giant critters and located the toxic dump but not before being changed him self.
 
beaufort is a huge man standing 6'8" he is powerfully built and covered with scars from his many tussles with Gators and other dangerous Bayou creatures. his run in with the toxic waste has left him with enhanced strength and toughened skin.
 
During the clean up he killed a truly massive bull alligator and used it to make his long leather coat the leather is so tough it will turn aside knives and even bullets.
 
beaufort is a man who appreciates a challenge and since the changes from that toxic swamp he's found it hard to get one. he loves a good fight and is always looking to test him self against the toughest opponents available.
 
beauforts fighting style has been described as a violent gumbo lots of nasty bar fighting a bit of boxing some African stick fighting and plenty of wrestling.
 
beaufort has two initial mortality techniques.
 
the first is the boomstick blowout. in which with a flourish he jams the heavy steel tip of his boomstick under his opponents chin and BOOM!!. the other is a combo move the gator gutter. drawing from classic alligator wrestling techniques beaufort wraps his powerful frame around his foe pinning their limbs and taking them to the ground where his superior strength holds them still so he can deliver the coup de-grace opening them from navel to neck with his trusty bowie knife.

If I was doing it I'd want A remote trigger rather than a straight pin and time fuse grenade a good slinger would probably be safe but I wouldn't want to risk it.

DOOR TO DOOR
 
Danny Porto is Door to door (or D2D for brevity) . Danny was a delivery driver until he found a plain looking key in a door on his route.
 
when he opened the door he found himself standing on Malva surrounded by the aliens he bolted back through the door. When he removed the key and reopened the door only to see the normal hallway.
 
Experimenting with the key he discovered its strange powers it could open any lock and with an act of will he can open that door to any other door way he can picture.
 
Finally the key is designed to protect its user growing into a golden heater shield.
 
The key is part of the Universal Portal System (UPS) used by a species of highly advanced tourists who travel the universe to see the sights. It's former owner is desperate to find it but all he knows is he left it somewhere near malva when the rest of his group passed through.

Is the teams government liaison a highly secretive FBI agent. X wears a black full face ballistic mask, black suit black leather gloves trench coat and Fedora.
 
he has the ability to transform into black smoke and get in just about anywhere. A forensic expert and highly skilled operative if a rescue involves a crime he will solve it.
 
Rumors that he gained his powers when his car was blown up by the mob leaving him horribly disfigured or that he is secretly a vampire with a monstrous bat like face have been fervently denied by the agency but more outlandish rumour's spring up when ever they deny anything.

Bad bunny 
 
FUZZY BUNKINS was little Mary-Sues favoritist toy in the whole wide world and every night he would come to life and escort her as her brave guardian as she had adventures in the magical fairie realms. but bunny couldnt protect her in the car crash that killed her parents.
 
of course he was by her bed sidewatching over her, the whole time she was in hospital. he couldn't protect her from her wicked uncle who did the bad things to her. even when she cried herself to sleep in his fur every night. he couldnt help her when she ran way and slept with him as a pillow in abandoned buildings and alleyways. he Couldn't save her from the pimp who got her hooked on drugs and forced her to turn tricks, finally he couldn't save her  when she died screaming and alone from the adulterated junk she pumped into her veins.
 
what he could do was get revenge mary sue always had powers the faerie realm was real and so where their adventures together when she dies her power passed to bunny now he's alive and pissed off he's out to destroy everything the corrupt system that failed his little girl and the criminals who fed on her equally
 
bunny is small and unassuming just two feet tall and quite tatty looking missing an eye dirty singed fur and a torn and resown ear wearing a filthy waistcoat and scarf. but his appearance is deceptive. the power he was granted by mary-sue's dying breath makes him basically invulnerable regenerating form as little as a single thread. he is super humanly agile able to leap to prodigious heights and has access to an extra dimensional arsenal with everything from knives and guns to bombs and blasters.
 
Bad Bunny has a mad om for the world and sows chaos and destruction in his path of course deep down all he wants is his Lost Innocence back and his magical adventures with Mary-sue.

SWITCHBLADE SALLY
 
Sally Schrade aka rockabilly bombshell, diesel punk debutante and six blade samurai. Sally grew up In rockaway Beach Queens New York. She was a popular figure in the cities rockabilly scene her style mixing vintage 40s chic with punk rock attitude tattoos piercings, fishnets and updos.
 
Sally wasn't going to be anyone's first choice as a hero but when a club she was in caught fire due to faulty pyrotechnics she ran back in time and again to get others out she almost died as the building collapsed as she was pulling out the last trapped patron. He was a huge biker looking dude in heavy leather with a name tab reading HEPH with a clubbed foot and a pretty rough face it took all she had but she helped him clear.
 
When she reached the street outside the man turned to her and said it has been a very long time since I witnessed mortal courage like that this is a gift for you to aid you as a hero. He passed a beautiful silver and mother of pearl handled switchblade to her. Sally tried to protest to give it back but was momentarily distracted by the building collapsing and when she turned back HEPH was gone.
 
It's taken Sally a lot of experimenting since that night to understand just what an amazing gift she was given “The Switchblade “ is more than just a knife it can open one of six blades each blade with its own power.
 
The Switchblade grants certain powers too. The common powers are low level enhanced strength and durability a spiritual tether that will call the blade back to Sally's hand (baring it being sealed in a lead or gold lined box consecrated ground or warding circle). The blade is unbreakable and unnaturally sharp can also change length from 3 inches to 3 feet appearing as a rapier.
 
 
 
The six blades are as follows Earth, Air, Fire Water, Darkness and Light.
 
Earth grants even more strength and toughness the blade is composed of cold iron and silver and can cut through stone like butter.
 
Air is charged with lightning that can stun or kill it enhances speed and leaping and provides self contained breathing.
 
Water is a blue steel blade that is permanently covered in hoar frost and mist the blade will suck the warmth from any object it touches on land this is its only power. On or under water the blade can create powerful currents to force blocks of ice away from it and also protects Sally from getting wet lets her breath and protects her from cold and pressure.
 
Fire is simple a flaming blade that burns what it touches and protects Sally from heat. It can also absorb fire then project it in a dragon like cone of flame.
 
Darkness is an semi tangible blade composed of shadows it can pass through even the toughest armour and allows Sally to cloak herself in shadows.
 
Finally light is pretty much a light Saber a blazing bright blade of light it cuts through almost anything it can also generate a brilliant flash, of light (and protects her from the same)unlike the other blades light can extend to almost any distance basically acting like a laser.
 
Sally has no idea why but darkness and light allow her to survive in space and move in zero gravity she was very glad to find that out when she was teleported into orbit by a super-villain.
 
Sally suspects Heph was actually the Greek God of the Forge hephaestus. She has chosen to use her gift to do good as another Queens local said "With great power comes great responsibility" but still likes to party when possible and is still a well known face in the rockabilly scene .
 
Since acquiring the blade she has taken up kendo, escrima and HEMA to better use her blade in combat.

Memorex
 
The amazing Martin Mandel the mini memory master was an overnight sensation when he won his first World memory championship contest at just 8 years old. over the next ten years Martin would dominate the mind sports World appearing on TV shows to wow the audience with his feats of mental prowess.
 
Unfortunately for Martin by the time he was 18 newer better competitors were out ranking him in the contests and he was no longer the adorable child prodigy but a gawky acne ridden geek.

He is a skilled martial artist specialising in a combination of Ba Gua Zhang kung-fu and jujitsu allowing him to get close and future with his targets memories.

Lucia-Marie is the biracial amazon a straight up martial brick she is superhumanly strong and tough more so than the other Amazons. she is a striking beauty with cafe au last skin and auburn hair. Only the other Amazons know her real power Lucia Marie isn't a her she is a them Lucia and Marie where a medical oddity twins born to a mixed race couple one with dark skin and curly black hair the other impossibly fair with red hair.
 
Individually they are minor bricks but their real use is as scouts they are different from their criminal alterego and they have a mental link that allows them to communicate over any distance.
 
When they combine into Lucia-Marie there abilities double their personality shifts into a gestalt of both of the girls and they have access to all the knowledge and skills of both sisters. Based on this news story.

Walden Wegman was born in the small town of Bar Harbour Maine in a house that was on the very edge of Acadia national park. His parents had both dropped out of the rat race to get back to nature has father a successful novelist and travel writer his mother an award winning wildlife photographer.
 
he grew up hiking in the woods and travelling to exotic wilderness with his parents it wasn't until he was seven that the trouble started.
 
 
Some quiet Saturday afternoon in midsummer welding Walden wandered Into the Woods on the edge of his parents property and disappeared.
His parents first then the rest of the community searched in vain for several hours. it wasn't until Nightfall that any wood of the missing boy was reported boy was reported he was found wandering in the woods on the Ile Du haut a small island almost 50 miles from where he went missing. the resulting investigation found no sightings , until his discovery and Walden said simply that he had gotten lost in the woods.
while the police and Park Rangers thought that it was some sort of kidnapping but no evidence came to light.
 
His parents believing despite Walden's protests that he had being kidnapped kept a close eye on him the next 6 months but shortly after his eighth birthday whilst picnicking with his family he once more wandering Into the Woods and went missing.
 
unlike the previous incident Walden was not found that day it was 3 days off increasingly frantic searching by the whole community before he was found and could explain how a young child had found himself 300 miles from where he was last seen deep in the Green Mountains of the month Vermont his parents tried never to let him out of that site bus a moment of inattention and Walden could find himself taking a wrong turn and appearing just about anywhere terrified by his strange condition the provided him we have a satellite phone and credit card so he could at least get back from wherever he found himself stop. Fortunately for Walden has parents close friend Harry Rogers was a park ranger Eagle scout and ex green beret who decided that woman needed the skills to survive and navigate in the wilderness. Walden grew to Love the outdoors and the skills of survival he never went anywhere without his get home bag full of survival gear. He developed a passion for orienteering the learning to navigate both with mechanical aids and by eye using the stars the sun and the lay of the land to find his way.
 
as his knowledge of navigation increase he found that instead of getting lost he was able to find the trails between places that he had previously blundered upon. 15 years later Walden Wegman is an experienced member of the team his ability to navigate what he calls the trails ( weak spots in space that allow him to guide people through to another location) the trails are not contiguous and the amount of time taken varies enormously getting from florida to hawaii might only take one jump but getting from one side of the street to another might take fifty.
 
but even so it allows the team to get to anyway in minutes. Walden cam hold the trail open for dozens of people to pass through but most of the trails are only big enough for single person so vehicles etc can't get through.
 
his usual role is transport and crowd control evacuating bystanders from danger passing them down the nearest trail head to somewhere safe. Walden lacks offensive powers, he makes up for it with Incredible environmental awareness he knows where everyone and everything is in his surroundings (no one has been able to confirm if this is a part of his power or if it just his superb training.] combined with a great deal of tactical and combat training from his mentor Harry he is a formidable foe able to use the environment against more powerful foes.
 
he always has a utility belt with a complete survival and first aid kit(he feels naked without it) and has added several useful devices and weapons he carries a standard issue ranger service side arm and a collapsible baton as well. if the team is ever in survival situation conducting search and rescue or tracking a Fugitive in the wilderness then Trailblazer usually ends up as defacto leader.

Surely they would annilate like matter and anti matter and you would get a burst of energy and the strange particles would form AUSTIN POWERS Groovy baby!

Pretty Peach is a nightmare in a pink dress that uses her umbrella to redirect emotions in any crowd she encounters. Mostly she makes people fall in love with her and fight for her.

As seen by stuff I've posted here, I like translating public domain characters. I found a group of villains who had fought Captain Marvel Jr. in the Golden Age called the Black Ace Gang. They were nowhere near as interesting as The Royal Flush Gang, but card based characters can be interesting. After some back and forth with Joe Singleton, we came up with a modern version of the concept. The original group was non-powered, but 2 members of this version do have actual powers
