Re: Songs that inspire(d) you to make a Champions Character My Step-father used the whole of Loreena McKennitt's The Highway Man (and the G.M. found the original poem and was using plot twists from it as well), for the back story of a man who has been brought back to life and is under a journey to kill/come to terms with the men that killed him and his beloved. Very cool character. I tend to find the songs after the fact. I always imagined some one who was your normal guy, but decided enough was enough he was going to fix up Gotham... er I mean the campaign city. She has an addiction to vampiric bites (this as in a short lived BtVS game I was a part of a while back. Mind you in this world, every vampire (barring two notable exceptions) are completely evil. She just managed to find one that didn't want to kill her yet.

Re: What would you do? what would you do? Carrough would blink, cock her head to the side and stare at him blankly. She would prefer that the creature didn't die, but it wouldn't sadden her. Of course, if he seemed to be less than reactive she would calmly walk up to him (whispering in Gaelic as she went) and (hopefully) send him to his knees with a drain. If the kitten survived, she would adopt/buy from the owner it for it's fortitude in the face of danger. Gwendolyn would go wide eyed and squeal. Hit him with her tk almost immediately and follow up with a fireball once the kitten out of the way. She would glumly give the kitten back to the owner.

I suspect Santa would smile and bring the whole group together on Christmas morning to celebrate, in lieu of her wish. (Her mother's dead and her father's neglectful, so that's as close to a family Christmas as he could provide) Gwendolyn - Would think long an hard, "I could have a pony or all the candy I could eat.... ", but at the end she would become as serious as she could manage and say "I would like for my brothers' to be safe from Hook". Carrough - Thank you, but I do not need anything at the moment. Though if you are inclined could you take this gift to my family. She was banished from her home and UPS just doesn't ship to fae. Vera - To have this constant ache in my heart go away... She would shake her head realizing that he couldn't manage that, and ask for a new set of clothes.

Carrough - Changing back to her typical form would be a snap, few muttered words to Danu and a some hand movements and she is back to her bright bubbly appearance. Finding out who would dare alter her without her consent would be the fun part. Gwendolyn - Would be incredibly confused. She would probably show everyone that she was now a he and would be fascinated by the new piece of equipment she had hanging from her. She would probably get a lecture about not staring at it in public and they would set about trying to figure out what happened. "Wait, maybe I'm turning into a boy, because I'm the new Pan and they have to be boys! This is soo unfair! " Lauren - would go through three phases two of which are evident immediately, shocked and amused. Her anger would only come out when dealing with whoever did this. In the meantime she entertain herself by flirting with her male teammates. (She does this anyway, but doing it as a male they don't recognize... fun!) Vera - Would wonder whether it was the Montaigne noble magic are the Sidhe, that did this. Either way she would be extremely upset, until the little voice every Vodace has in their head spoke up. "use it to your advantage" Whatever use she could use it for,given the situation, she would.

Re: Have a Holly Jolly Security Breach Gwendolyn would be completly unshocked at would rip into her presents. Ooh, bubbles with sparkles! Carrough would be suspicious, because all of the 'good elves' she knows are pretty horrid beings. Once, she finally relaxed about it she would enjoy her gifts. Photos of her family and her armor that was lost along the way from the fae world to the human world.

My character is Unseelie in origin and in her natural form is a very nasty looking. I haven't quite nailed down exactly the look I want for her (and I failed my google-fu roll). I need a creature that looks like a evil fae involving any combination, horns, tentacles and long pointy teeth are welcome. She looks like something that just came out of the dark in your nightmares. Preferable female looking, but as long as it isn't obviously male I can work around this. I do not want wings though, unless it's an editing job, that could be done with Paint. Any images ya'll can come up with I would appreciate.

Re: WWYCD: Only So Many Shopping Days Till Christmas Gwen would make everyone cutesy stuff (tailored to the person in her mind) that no one could really use. Tamlyn would have an expensive leather coat made up and tailored for the lizard. She would put up a thousand dollar account at the local electronics store for the sidekick. She would gift the witch of a complete set of herbs and hard to get magical liquids. The leader would get a book on "leadership and you".

I hope someone enjoys. *** The bar was the kind that had velvet on the walls and dark, hardwood floors. The ice was gourmet and the glass held not one water spot. The wine was old, but not as old as Carrough. She sat in luxurious booth in the corner, the only light coming from the candle in the middle of the table letting her tri-colored eyes shine. She sat at an angle, legs pulled up gracefully with her thin upper body held up by a tanned arm as if at any moment a photographer would pop out of the overly polished woodwork and proclaim her his magical muse. She drank her wine and let a sneer mare her elfin features. She had been told this was the finest wine of the house, yet it tasted like the piss of a redcap. "Do my senses deceive me? It is not your face, but it is you." Carrough looked up and saw a tall thin man. Golden skin and long white-blond hair, his eyes were started out a pale blue that darkened till it blended almost seamless with the blacks of his pupils. An outside observer would assume they were siblings... and in a sense they were. She sat up slowly, not wanting to reveal the shock of his appearance, "That would depend on who you thought I was." His face contorted in cruel humor, he leaned in close and brushed her hair aside, "Oathbreaker" Her jaw clenched, "As if you can speak, Calest. Your court prides itself in it's illusions and deceit." The humor left his face, "You dare compare your violation to an illusion? I doubt our King would appreciate that." "Your king, your court. You and yours lived in fear of my court and my..." Carrough trailed off remembering that the sun had set. To say her name would bring her wrath down upon her. "And now you can't say her name.Your dark court cast you out." His eye shined "I would rather have been cast out of the true dark, then live forever in the false light." She intoned with finality His eye narrowed, "Good, because you get to live with them" he gestured to the rest of the bar "for the rest of time." They glared at each other, but finally Carrough looked away. Calest just shock his head and walked back out of the bar.

Re: WWYCD voluntary super registration Tamlyn - Wouldn't (and hasn't since this is an issue of the game). She tends to distrust human authorities if only, because she does not believe that they are competent. She thinks of humans as peons that must be saved from themselves more often than supervillains. Gwendolyn - Would if someone told her she should. If nobody mentioned it, it wouldn't even cross her mind.

Re: WWYCD: Harem Comedy from Hell Lauren - Would find the entire thing too amusing. She would be inclined to let them beat each other up, but any civilian/collateral damage would resound in an automatic dismissal of the suitor in the form of beatings from bodyguards or threaten of restraining orders. Other than that she would just watch the ensuing madness.

Re: Dancing with the Heroes Lauren would excel at wearing the costumes well and keeping an elegant feel of the dances. Something more lighthearted like the Quickstep, would be her weak dance. She's a big flirt, so the audience will either love her or hate. Vera is a swordsman, so understanding the footwork would be easy. However, being that up close with someone in the Rumba and Tango would make her uncomfortable. Though the Cha Cha would be her forte. She would work very hard to make every dance, perfect. She is a more private person, so the audience would be unable to connect with her as much. I suspect she would fall out of the competition quickly, unless the audience appreciated her effort. Gwendolyn is agile and bendable, so any of more athletic dances would be easy. However, she would probably forget steps. Also, she wouldn't understand/appreciate the intimacy of the Tango, so it would most likely end up looking like a brother and sister dancing together. I think she would get fairly far, just by winning over the audience with her upbeat nature and smiles.

Re: WWYCD: "I" in Team Expanding the list to my main characters would be Vera the sword fighter, Gwendolyn the flying energy blaster and Lauren the rich hacker. Vera would find the other two girls very annoying. Liking Gwen a little more, because she is just an innocent, though the child-like attitude would grate on her nerves. Lauren's wealth and her tendency to show it off would spark Vera's jealousy hubris and cause friction, but Vera would admire Lauren's skill at the computer. Lauren would find Gwendolyn fascinating and slightly confusing. She would probably trade barbs with Vera given the opportunity. Gwendolyn would automatically make friends with both, would be confused by the sniping between Lauren and Vera, but would shrug it off. She would probably be the one that encouraged them to do heroic stuff. They would only work, because Gwendolyn would keep dragging them together until they built a group foundation. Then Vera's underling loyalty to her friends would kick in and keeping them apart would become harder than separating them. Lauren would fund any of their projects and get them an intel needed and Gwendolyn would end up being 'tough' guy. I think the group would be interesting to watch. lol

Re: WWYCD: We hope you're feeling better now Vera would wonder how the Inquisition got a hold of her... Oops wrong time period. Either way, she would distrust every doctor and the person imitating her. She would be quietly, but intensely angry at her companions for not realizing that the 'impostor' wasn't her. though, she would also feel great confusion as to why someone would want to be her, unless it was to infiltrate the group or get close to her sister. Lauren would first be in a state of shock, then into the "if I'm me then who's out there playing me and meeting my friends?" stage and finally into anger "So brat stole my identity and is spending my money! Those are my Prada shoes!" The last part would come around, after she faked sanity and had gotten out of the Asylum. (And about the time she realized that her friends weren't her friends and her aggravation presented itself in the only way she knows how to deal, which is having/spending money.) Gwendolyn would probably would have been into even more therapy once they realized that she doesn't even think that the 'real' world' is real. It's all one big game. Some of her friends would have to bust her out (or they could wait/hope for the counseling to work), but mostly I'm thinking bust out.
