  2. Re: NGD Scenes from a Hat The little pink sparkles she leaves EVERYWHERE she goes.
  3. Re: Longest Running Thread EVER Ah. Dial-up. Yeah. That'll do it.
  4. Re: Longest Running Thread EVER Kinda figured, when I saw you posted on Easthaven. ^ v ^ Where ya been?
  5. Re: Musings on Random Musings Not until you mentioned it, no.
  6. Re: A Thread for Random Musings I saw The Village tonight. I think what most people hated about it was that the trailers and stuff made it look like a horror movie. It wasn't horror; it was mystery and suspense, but mostly drama. Yeah, it would've pissed me off, too, if I'd actually been looking to be scared. I wasn't.
  7. Re: Longest Running Thread EVER I have a livejournal account, but it's friends-locked.
  8. Re: Longest Running Thread EVER Gah. This thread grew by 2 pages while I was catching up. And I was on only 4 hours ago! Sheesh! You guys realize we're not up against much in the way of competition, right?
  9. Re: Longest Running Thread EVER Have to take your word for it.
  10. Re: Longest Running Thread EVER Indeed. Mine are just insane, but that's okay. I'd expect nothing less from a creature I feed dry cereal to, keep indoors all the time, and tease with the reflection from a point of light. Could be. Hmm.
  11. Re: A Thread for Random Musings I'm speechless.
  12. Re: Longest Running Thread EVER *listens to her cat and husband snore* Hey, they're in stereo!
  13. Re: The Last Word "Pazu!" "Sheeta!" "Pazuuuuuu!" "Sheeeeeeetaaaaaa!" ^ v ^
  14. Re: Longest Running Thread EVER Same with me and Josh. We'll bicker over something little, and more often than not, end up giggling like the 2 silly people we are. ^ v ^
  15. Re: Longest Running Thread EVER I'm guessing with your husband . . . Unless this was a grocery store shortage thing.
  16. Re: Musings on Random Musings The first time I experienced the emotion known as 'bemusement' was when I found out Huck Finn had been banned in some schools. Why? I asked. Because it's "racist," was the answer. Uh-huh. Shifting this over to another bigotry issue, I'm fine reading Jane Austen's novels. There's a pervasive attitude that women are physically weak, best if kept in the home, well-suited for only domestic tasks, and that the best thing they can do with their lives is marry a nice, rich man. If these books had been written even 20 years ago, I'd be throwing them across the room. But because there were different expectations when the books were written, I can read and enjoy them for what they are: stories of strong heroines who get what they want.
  17. Re: Longest Running Thread EVER Awww. How cute. I remember this phase. I haven't said that to Josh in, what, almost 2 years?
  18. Re: NGD Scenes from a Hat My family. Thankfully.
  19. Re: WWYCD: Ascesnsion Considering this involves a good part of my character concept for my current character . . . She was built as a student of Athena's, who woke up a few thousand years after the Trojan War. There are only a couple of the gods left, and they're scraping by, making do when they can. My character, having been imbued with some of Athena's powers before she went to sleep, is slowly gaining the abilities of Athena. She would very much like to see Athena again, but if it turned out Athena was never coming back, she'd gladly take her place. Though it isn't really in the Greek gods' mo to not interfere with mortals.
